Wedding on a Farm!

The main reason we journeyed out to Missouri was to attend the wedding of some dear friends of ours. They lived almost 4 hours away from the airport in St. Louis, so it was quite a trip! The wedding was on the Groom's family farm, so there was lots of pictures to be had! I'll keep up the anonymous nature of this blog by not naming names, but our friends threw one amazing party, thanks for the adventure!

There's our friends posing for wedding photos in the background! You can see where the ceremony took place under the awning and guests were sitting on the hay bales. We're out in the country!

Click on the "Read more" below to see some more farm stuff!

Cows and chickens? Check!

The wedding meal was pork they had been roasting since yesterday. People stayed up all night to stoke the fire under it. Unbelievably good.

Pile of old bowling balls? They don't even bowl, but said a big 'ole pile of bowling balls was good luck? They WERE lucky enough to have an awesome farm so I think it's working.

Wedding gifts for the guests! Hand-made mugs from the Bride's father! He made tons of these! How unique and touching.

I try not to use bad words on this blog, so you can read the sign here. Ponies pay for random numbers and if the chicken "goes" on your spot, you win!

The local fireworks guy knew the family, so we got a spectacular fireworks show! Not just a few, this was quite impressive. But our friends are totally worth it! Thanks again for such a wonderful time!
