Merry Buc-ee's!

 More pictures! Huzzah!

I had this picture left over from last Xmas. Here was a Buc-ee's Beaver lawn decoration. How much longer until Buc'ee's is overwhelmingly everywhere? I don't mean that in a bad way. I look forward to it. This happy beaver is such a great mascot.

I went to Fuddrucker's again. The burgers are amazing, but the cheese fries are the real reason we go to Fuddrucker's.

I got to this antique store just as they were closing, so I didn't get to see much. This table looked awesome, but the price on it was $1450. That's super high for a store like this, right? Are these lions made of real gold or something? Who knows stuff about tables? Is this some kind of rare collectible?

Check out this Snowboarder Guy on this Lego set. On the top of the box, he's putting the moves on this First Responder Lady. The front of the box is a different story. You see the poor guy in the air, and the set comes with an ambulance. So.... you just know he's going to wipe out. Poor guy!

Another odd picture on a Lego box, it looks like this happy girl is vandalizing this building! I'm a fan of graffiti art, personally, but it's not legal. Does that make this girl a criminal? Yes?

One more busting of Lego, this set is completely ripping off the TV show The Voice, with the unmistakable judge chair. For the record, pun intended, the character in the chair is original Friends character Andrea, who went on to become a pro singer. So she totally counts here as a celebrity judge.

My friend got this metal puzzle thing for Xmas, and it was super hard to put back together. I got this picture to know what it was supposed to look like when it's back correctly. If you take it apart, you really can't visualize what the original shape was.

The puzzle comes apart into six metal rectangles. There are a couple of magnets, so the thing locks together nicely if you do manage to get it. The whole thing is a mess, good luck!

During the Xmas diner, my friend raved about the amazing roasted potatoes. When he asked for the recipe, he was told simply, it was right on the box of the stuff. And they had an extra one, so they just gave it to us. On the one hand, we were excited to try this at home, but also we were a little disappointed it was not some kind of secret recipe. I guess you don't have to tell anybody it was from a box, that could still be a secret.

This puzzle thing was a lot easier. It's a golf ball floating in water that you have to kick around trying to get it to settle on the tee. The trick is to knock it a little, and then set it on the table, hoping the ball settles there on its own. If you try and shake it yourself by holding it, it will usually bounce off.

Texas Road House! The best diner place. I liked the neon sign for the Virginia Beach Town Center, which was probably a custom, and neat to see. On that far wall you can see the Washington Commanders "W". Nobody likes the name "Commanders" but I still think the "W" looks cool, for a W.

Another meal pic, this is from Mod Pizza. I've been there before, and I don't think I have anything new to say here. But I'll still share this picture. It's still great pizza.

Here's a picture from Xmas clearance. Fun to point out the sale says 50% off, and this ornament is missing it's foot. So... is that an extra 10% off?

The Ross store doesn't know how the Crimson Twins from G. I. Joe works. They had four Xamot figures and NO Tomax figures. Who does this? Did customers really only buy the one figure? You know they belong together; you need a Tomax with your Xamot. I guess Hasbro should have made them some together in one set.

Coincidentally, here's a twin-related cartoon from the newspaper. Posted for my two friends, for some reason.

Elf for the Keebler... Elves?! Mind blown. Where's this movie! They could make a sequel out of this concept, right?

For some reason, we get Hardee's commercials in New Jersey, yet there is no Hardee's in New Jersey. At least nowhere around where we are. It's a little bit of a treat to go there when we travel.

Is it shocking when the card game uses such wildly different art styles? The super happy anime and the super serious art? It's both cool and not-cool at the same time.

My friend laughed out loud when he walked by this car with a ski mask hung over the head rest. Funny.

I'll spare you the long story, but it's been forever since I've had Mongolian Barbecue. A friend had found a place, and as soon as I tasted this it was like time-travelling into the happy past. It was just as good as I remembered.

If you don't know what Mongolian Barbecue is, it's where you fill a bowl with stuff and meat shavings, and then put in a bunch of different sauces. The chef pours it on a round grill top and walks circles around it with a stick until it's cooked. Here's all the sauces and the bowl before cooking.

The name of the place was simply: Top Mongolian. Yes they are.

Pig butts! Tucked in the back of this gas station is a hidden gem of a non-Mongolian, regular BBQ place. You know it's good with the silly artwork on the building.

I forgot to take a picture of the pulled pork sandwich we got. It was pretty good, but maybe a little over-priced. Still neat to have a little special place to go.

Happy New Year at the Lego Store in Virginia Beach. This place was packed!

The Lego Store is in an area with street parking, and we saw this super sports car. So we had to get a picture of it. Quick! Before it speeds away! Who goes shopping in their professional sports car?

Our friend wanted to go into the REI store, and it turns out they have a snack section that would rival the silly names from one of those Hot Sauce stores. "Bobo's" looked very close to "Boobs", and how cool is it to say "Quantum Energy Bar" like it's from outer space?

Pipcorn, not popcorn. And should you have that Yes Bar? Um, Yes? How can you say no to that?

One more silly names on the snacks pic. BobbySue's Nuts is an obvious attempt at a funny name, and the other one says "Hello, I'm Ugly" which seems a little more desperate to be funny. I could have taken more pictures of things with silly names, so go check it out if you can.

Some cool characters from the Ahsoka series. These were the bad guys with lightsabers and force powers. Not much of their background or story was explained in the series, so buy some figures and have your own adventures with them. It can be whatever you think it is!

Grabbed a picture of this funny hot dog restaurant named The Dog House. The tag line says "Our dogs go out with the nicest people!" I've never gone in there, but it's been there for a long time, so it's probably good.
