Animal Crossing Fun

One last bunch of pictures from Animal Crossing: New Horizons. For now. This might be the best ones. There's a lot of funny things that happen either on purpose or by accident. Sometimes an item name gets put into a generic sentence,... or sometimes the characters just say fun things. I'm going to keep the comments to a minimum this time, as the pictures really just speak for themselves.

Is this everybody's weekend these days? I removed the name to maintain the thin veil of Internet anonymity.

Some of the fish and bug catching puns are spot-on.

Do we like Tammy, or like-like Tammy? Busted!

Visiting my friend and chasing him around with the axe!

Tammy gave me her old Ninja Costume. This is another example of the game giving you a random object and putting it into a sentence with unexpected implications.

Okay technically it's not "Space Monkey" like our pal in the Smithsonian Air and Space Museum, but close enough! We like you even more now, Tammi!

Jay was giving me a random item, and encouraging me to spread items around the island to increase it's appeal. I think.

Did you see that episode of Survivor where they taught us the lesson of cultural inappropriateness of the word "do-rag"? Nintendo did not see that episode.

Ah... Tiffany. I believe we call this a "downward spiral"? I'm rooting for you, but try not to stress out, okay?

Eventually, the neighbors will grow tired of their catchphrases and ask what you think they should say instead. While visiting a friend's island, we were greeted by Bluebear in an unexpected way.

What's going on with O'Hare? "O'Hare" is like, and Irish name, "Ciao" is Italian, and "Amigo" is Spanish. That guy is all over the place!

Tiffany describes the perfect weekend.

What kind of sculptures are you making?! Don't be shocked if you find one of these um... "Fine Art" pieces hidden in her room. They're worms and snakes...

Some of the neighbors are work-out enthusiasts. They are always encouraging you to exercise. Maybe a subtle Nintendo trick to get kids more active? We thought we busted Goose when he mentioned he liked this (insert random item he's standing next to) Candy Machine on his jog route.... next slide please... click!

OH! Hurdle practice?! He got us! Ha-ha!

An update to the game added Redd and the Art Gallery to the Museum. Redd sells expensive art pieces which may or may not be authentic. You need to research the actual art piece to see if you spot anything wrong! His swindler dialog is funny.

Here's the inside of Redd's rickety boat, where you can see the art pieces for sale. That's an in-game version of an actual real art statue. And it's not wearing a shirt. A little shocking to see a naked statue, even if it is a real work of art available to be seen in a real museum.

When you find an authentic art piece, you can put it in your museum's new art gallery. Kinda makes me want to go to a real art museum.

Another giant art piece with a shirtless woman. Way to go Nintendo, for not pulling any punches and going full-out IT'S ART dedication!

Tammy with some more modern wisdom. She backs it up by saying talking to friends at night is important, too, and that's what they make coffee for.

Another funny fish pun. That's my point here.

Okay Jay, I named my six pack, too. Nachos, Fries, Pizza, Toast, Ice Cream, and Sprinkles.

It also asks you to update their greetings. Oh snap!

Tammy is making an Apple TV? She gave me the DIY recipe, now I can make them too!

Leif sells shrubberies for you to plant. One of the things in the game is that weeds will grow around your island and you pull them up to make things look nice again. Leif pays more than the store for them. There's a few other funny sentences around the word "weed" in this game.

You can mail letters to your neighbors and type in a whole thing. While I'm not sure if it decodes is somehow, we were once busted for writing a short letter. They send letters back and it's another very sweet part of the game.

Tiffany? You want me to wear this for you?

 Wise words from Rodeo.

You won't even notice this game is giving you good advise. It's like they are actually your friends.

Okay, it's not ALL good advise. Some of it is more "true" and some more "just silly".

Perfect example of random item in the wrong sentence. Um, whose?! Yikes! What have you done, Goose?!
