Warm Pictures

It's been a little cold outside so checking out these pictures we took over the summer is helping us to warm up a little. This bunch is more from Princeton and a trip south on the D&R Canal State Park trail.

Here's the train station except we rode our bike here, not the train. This connects to the actual train station that would take you to like New York and stuff.

All aboard! Click on the "Read more" below for some warm summer pictures.

Who here is a fan of maps? Aren't they the coolest? Okay, before we all had computers in our pockets they were a lot cooler.

Wider map shows stuff farther away. Point your finger to the right and behind you a little, and that's where we rode here from?

The D&R Canal State Park trail runs through a golf course. Or does the golf course run through the park?

One of the nice things about Golf is all of the beautiful scenery you get to enjoy while playing. What other sport does that?

The bridge was tempting us to go explore the golf course but we stayed on the trail. Maybe we'll ride around there some other day.

Strange Obelisk in the woods? Let's go check it out!

George Washington marched past this point! Hey, who put a history lesson in the middle of our bike ride?

Here's the welcome sign on the other side of Princeton. So no matter which side you approach them from, you're welcome!

Ah, so nice to remember the summer and warmth. Jackets are okay, too I guess. They have a lot of pockets.

Canal House. So THIS is where the Canal lives?

Nice bright green swamp over there. There's got to be hidden things over there but we're not going into the swamp to find them.

Awful nice of the road Engineers to put a trail under the bridge here. This was some ponies idea, so thanks to the pony that probably thought they have a thank-less job.

Here's the spot we turned around at. Later we would come back and go a bit farther those pictures will be on a future post?

On the way back the river had a hypnotic wave pattern that was reflecting things in a wired way. Almost like a science fiction space-distortion portal or something. Did we just travel through time?

We noticed the gears and mechanisms here to um, flip this bridge around? What for?

If this was the Charles Shultz Laboratory they would be doing experiments on... peanuts? Good grief... am I trying too hard with the smart humour?

I thought the Princeton mascot was a Tiger so why is there a Lion? And is there a Bear around here, too? Oh. My!

Another non-tiger hanging around the Princeton campus. Why can't they sculpt it to look happy? Imagine being "fierce" all the time, that would be exhausting! Bonus action-picture of a running person in the background.
