Mysterious Space Jacket

Ah, old Sci-Fi TV shows. There's just something imaginationally comfy about those shows. Today's Sci-Fi seems a little too dark and gritty. Can we get back to the happy fun space style?

So we were watching this old episode of Buck Rogers in the 24th Century, and James Sloyan guest stared in it. He would later go on to play memorable roles in Star Trek so we were excited to see him. In the episode, We casually noticed he was wearing a very cool looking rogue outfit. Buck Rogers did tend to have a neat art style throughout.

There's a cosmic mystery going on here, continue by clicking the "Read more" below...

A few weeks later we caught an episode of the older show Lost in Space. And wait a minute... is that the same jacket?! How could that not be the same jacket? When were these shows filmed? Why did we notice the jacket in the first place, and then recognize it, here?

Internet research shows the Lost in Space episode was 1966 and Buck Rogers was 1979. But... none of the production studios matched and they aired on different networks. How did this magic space jacket show up on both shows? Has it been other places, too?

Living in an apartment with no garden at all, there is no excuse to purchase two of these and mock dual-wield them as if we are in some awesome kung-fu movie. Because we totally want to.

Saw this in the parking lot at work. Is this a giant collectible now? Maybe it was sold at the going out of business sale. They did say "everything" has to go!

We are always giddy to see merchandise from Marvel's TV show Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. Daisy Johnson here goes by the hero name Quake, and even though this is from some other little-girl-hero-group version, it's awesome to see her getting the attention she deserves. Also, who's not going to love a character named "Squirrel Girl?"

This is a hard to find Transformer voiced by Weird Al Yankovich. If you haven't seen the original 80's Transformers movie, you should. It's about as classic 80's as you can get. Dare to be stupid.

Hmmm. So many ways to go with the caption of this Troll Doll fashioned after President Trump. I'll be nice and say this is the best troll doll ever. Everypony says so. You can think of another caption if you want. Fake news.

We had to contain our laughter when we saw the name "Planet of the Crepes" That's like the type of joke name you'd see on an episode of The Simpsons. But there it was. In the middle of a real mall.

Hey! We saw that guy, in his food truck one day at work they catered a lunch for us. They were pretty good Empanadas, Guys.

Obi Wan never told you what happened to your Legos?
also...
I love Legos. I know.

Get youself some pot roast or fried chicken, and have Cracker Barrel, the home version.

It's funny Xmas Sweater time. Maybe we should save up a bunch of these and post them at the same time?

We thought this adorable waffle maker was a scaled-down display version, but it turns out it really is for making tiny waffles. Oh snap. Now I really want some waffles.

Wish granted! A few days later saw a commercial for Chicken & Waffles at KFC. My friend is very excited about this.

Our friend gave us some deer jerky. It came from a deer they legit hunted.  My friend said if he didn't know it was deer he couldn't tell it wasn't um, regular, beef jerky.

Another picture of our friend Turbo who sprinted over to get some treats. Sometimes it's hard to tell the squirrels apart, but Turbo runs! That's personality. Not sure why this picture came out all glowy.

So much for getting candy on clearance after Halloween. This is only a few days after. Did it sell out or get trashed? Piles of candy in the break room at Target?

We did manage to find a couple of half-price M&M bags. So we got something. We saw these before Halloween and wanted to try the new flavors, so it's funny that the thing we wanted was the only thing left. And if you were wondering, yep they are pretty good.

Sorry for the emotional outburst but... Dammit, pillow! That's not what my friend needs to see right now! Where's the Frozen pillow where Elsa's advise is to "Let it go!"
