Toy Fair 2020 More Cute

Sorry for the delay, I got caught up playing Animal Crossing and slacked off on the pictures for a few days! Almost through the pictures from the 2020 New York Toy Fair. I don't think we took as many this year... when you go a few times, you start to wonder what's new and what you've already taken pictures of last year. We try to only get new pictures, but sometimes we forget. Have another round of cute pictures.

What exactly is this poodle soliciting here? Welcome to the New York Toy Fair! I guess it's innocent enough. The thing to notice about this enormous poster is that this is a trade-only show, so technically you'd be taking this poodle to your toy store to sell, not to your home.

I saw this french fries Hello Kitty and just had this funny idea: Is this what zombies see? Like imagine you are starving, and you saw french fries in people's heads. Haha that's silly. Just being silly for a second.

Some more Hello Kitty cosplay outfits. So you can be sure to display the exacty 'Kitty that matches your interest. Steampunk? Patriotic? Tranzor-Z? I like how it says "scary clown" and it doesn't really look too scary. It's just scary because it's a regular clown.

Here's a plush version of french fries head Hello Kitty, this time the french fries are ALSO Hello Kitty. Is there some kind of connection here, or is it just a fact that everybody loves french fries?

Cute Disney Princesses. Do we need a spoiler alert on brown-haired Rapunzel? Or have we all seen that movie that came out like .... nine years ago? Yikes! Has it been that long?

This booth had cute animal plushies based on characters. Last year I took pictures of the Star Trek ones. I see the picture in the back there with an adorable Freddy Krueger kitty which looked like your furniture is doomed. How is that different than a regular kitty?

What's the matter, Doc?
We gotta bet BARK Marty! BARK... to the Future!

Those are some intense neon colors! I think I might be a little dizzy looking at it.

I don't think we can use the word "cute" here, I think the proper word is "kawaii". Which is basically a Japanese term for mega-adorable. Zoom in and look around at all the kawaii stuff.

My friend is not a fan of sushi, or seafood of any kind, but even he had to admit that these little cart racers were appealing. So if you actually like sushi, you probably would like these even more.

Underwater Sea Pony Unicorns? This is the type of thing I like seeing at the Toy Fair, because this sort of character design is very much like going to an art gallery. Where else would you see some sort of cute submarine unicorn like this? They don't exactly have art galleries for this.

Tiny Hostess Cup Cakes! Perfect for that one co-worker who you offer Cup Cakes to, and they say "I'll just have a little bit..." Now you can go.... HERE! And mock them with this.

I have not seen the show with these character designs, but I heard they were doing a new My Little Pony series with a "wackier" art style. So it was being shown off at the Toy Fair.

We couldn't quite get a picture of the scary face, because that required pinching the back of the head. We tried for a minute and then realized... it's pictured there right on that tag anyway.

The cute planet plushies were still there. We've taken pictures of these before, but this year we asked, since they probably ran out of ideas with the limited number of available planets, if they ever considered doing Science Fiction planets like from Star Trek or Star Wars. And they said "ohhhh... maybe a Death Star?!!!" So that was a fun thing to be a part of.

Speaking of Star Trek, there was a yarn Kirk figure. Not actually made of yarn though, it was plastic. Is that better or worse?

I'm not quite sure what to think of these, they look like they will be soft and cuddly but they are hard as rocks. Sort of gives me the feeling of walking through a glass door you didn't see. They should include a warning not to be placed on beds or couches people might jump on. OWWWW!

Quick! Re-route auxiliary power to the deflector screens! And tissues! Do you have any tissues in the bag?

If you are wearing a Red Shirt and your package has a Star Trek logo on it, you might be in trouble. Those Klingons look like they are up for the challenge.

These Squishmallow characters lined the escalators. I wonder if they take these down right after the show, of if they try to get away with the viral "oops" marketing if they are seen weeks later.

What an odd photo op for Clifford the Big Red Dog. It works for Minty, but do they expect full-sized people to sit on this paw? Or lay down and use it like a pillow? Just weird.

Surprise! It's a giant L.O.L. Surprise! Like, those eyes weren't big enough to begin with.

I had no idea what an Axolotl is, but when we saw these, we had to find out what this adorable creature was all about . Look it up!

Wall of the Crayola booth had this nice art of a rainbow-dripping Rapunzel hair. And we thought, yeah... that's something a kid would think of. Fitting for the Toy Fair. Good job, Crayola.

Crayola had this rainbow curtain in front of their booth. Not that we were particularly interested in seeing or not seeing what was behind it, we wanted to ask if we could go through it just because it looked like that might be awesome just in itself. But it was late and we kind of missed the chance.
