Thoughtful Portion

Another Thoughtful Portion of random pictures!

Digiorno has some tasty pizzas but Nestle has zero common sense package engineers. First of all, they trademarked the term "Thoughtful Portion". Huh? Then this says enjoy a portion with a fresh green salad. Like seriously has anybody EVER had pizza with a salad? Who are they trying to kid? And the most hilarious "portion" of this; is they say 1 portion=1/5th of the pizza. Who cuts a pizza into FIVE slices? They even put up a picture to show you, and it looks ridiculous.

We comically tried to cut our pizza into five slices, and honestly did a pretty okay job at it. Sorry for not following your suggestion, we did not enjoy this with a salad, and ate three portions for dinner and the other two for lunch the next day. You're selling PIZZA. Own it.

Saw a commercial for Pillsbury Crescent croissants where they um... stole our idea? You might recall our posting a recipe where you take some meat slices and roll them up in croissants, we called them Wizard Scrolls. So we were a little happy and shocked to see them on the commercial! Did somebody at Pillsbury read this blog?!

Here are the kids happily showing the idea. There is a term called "The Zeitgeist" where universally good ideas are unknowingly shared. Did we put this idea in the zeitgeist, or did we independently pull this idea out of it? I can say for certain that we thought up this idea with no outside suggestions. Mind blown!

Here's a less-philosophical funny photo; we saw this dog driving this car at work. It was parked but running, like he was waiting to pick someone up. Good boy! In case you are wondering, it was a cool day, so it's not like the dog was left in a dangerously hot car.

One of our neighbors put a pumpkin outside their door for the holidays, and it looks like a squirrel or rabbit enjoyed the treat!

How can this NOT make you laugh? Oh my gourd!

Hmmm... is this cute? Or hideous? Yes it's a very cute deer, but it's a trophy head mounted to the wall, and that part is not cool. Is this supposed to go in a kid's room? Why not just buy them a full plush deer?

Went to the new Shake Shack on a lazy weekend. It's not that far away considering how far away we typically are from things. They made us wait outside while our order was in the queue.

Part of me wants to comment on how Shake Shake gets away with being so outrageously expensive, but it's nice to have an option to "treat" yourself with if you can afford it. It is indeed very tasty! It certainly doesn't seem to be any deterrent to them, because they seemed really busy regardless.

Look at all this Nature behind the Shake Shack. Why, they could put up at least three more Shake Shacks back here! Then it might be less expensive and not as busy, is that how it works?

Had this picture from when we walked around Princeton; it's the giant Playmobil guy and they put the mask on him. Remember 2020?

Tony Hawk skateboards! For when, after you play the video game a bunch, you feel like trying the real thing. Sure these are only $25 each, but how much for the elbow pads, helmet, and um... bandages?

Woah! Dude! I took this picture in the Dollar Store -before- the elections. They passed a law to legalize recreational marijuana in New Jersey. Do we not need these anymore? Or are we going to need... more of these? Dude!

Did I just break a Halloween code mystery? You know the recently-popular Saturday Night Live character David S. Pumpkins? Does the "S" stand for "Seeds"? Solved! ...Any questions?!

We got these new fever scanners at work, they seem to be excellent at telling you that you are okay! Because we have not seen anybody fail at this yet. Should that make us happy, or worried they might not actually be working?

A straggler Halloween picture of this adorable Wendy's Frosty cup dressed up like a mummy. While it's cute that it has the little bandage stuck to it's foot, that's obviously a Toilet Paper joke and like, a little gross, right?

Nobody likes wearing the masks. Except maybe this guy, who is urging you to wear a mask. The implication of "... or else!" is perfect. Serious, don't make it a big deal, just wear the mask, okay? And yes, I'm a little plastic pony who doesn't actually breath, so I do understand the hypocracy of Minty telling you to wear a mask while I myself am not wearing one. My friend with the camera is totally always wearing a mask.

The paradox of World's Smallest-Monster Truck is threatening to rupture the space-time continuum.

Gotta love a well-placed, but spotted, subliminal message. That pokemon's skill is telling you to "Collect"! ...Busted!

Where's the balloon-animal Minty? Looks like fun. Why is the same Rarity on there twice? Is that one less... rare-ity?

Hey, that's not a squirrel! We had a fun few minutes watching this pigeon act like a squirrel on our patio.

The Smash Burger close to us was a casualty of the Covid shutdowns. It did not re-open. So we had to travel a lot farther to get to one, and when we finally did, we realized how much we missed it. This Truffle Mushroom Burger is really very good. Our local Smash Burger made Fried Pickles, for just us, for years after they had been taken off the menu, we really miss that place! The Smash Fries are still good.

Noticed these Dairy Queen Blizzard figures and had to give out some respect for this. It's cool they are popular enough to get a figure line based off of their ice cream treats. Which also seems a little crazy, but hey, good for them! Now we need a Saturday morning cartoon, right?
