Flea Pictures

Englishtown Flea Market! This place is close enough to us, I wonder why we don't go more. It's a good weekend time-waster and you never know what kind of treasures you will see. At the very least, we can get picture treasures to share!

I don't know if they have auctions here, but that's what the sign says. Is there a technical reason they don't have to change the name to say "Flea Market"? That might reset the "Since 1929" date, maybe? Yikes, that's almost a hundred years ago!

End of June, and a few people are still wearing masks. This was the first day my friend with the camera took off "the mask" and walked around in a crowded place. Fully vaccinated, no need to worry, right?!

Ouch! How many people wound up with a plastic bin full of Skylander figures? I have a vague idea about which ones are rare and valuable, but I was too lazy to dig around to check. Not that I was looking for any one in particular, but if you are, check out the flea markets!

If it looks like a Nintendo, and plays like a Nintendo, is it really a Nintendo? Welcome to the Flea Market!

Hmm.. Dueling retro packaging for Grogu, but those sizes are waaaayyy different! Which do you think is more accurate to the show?

Firestar was created for the Spiderman and Friends TV cartoon because they didn't have permission to use The Human Torch from the Fantastic Four. So they slightly altered the fire-powers and origin, and boom! New character!

Pee Wee's Playhouse figures! I can see the Phil Hartman as Captain Carl, but where's the Lawrence Fishburne as Cowboy Curtis? Those figures are very cool looking, but seriously in need of the actual house playset.

I don't really remember this from Rocky IV, but when this robot appeared in a cutaway-gag on Family Guy, it was very funny. Should I watch Rocky 4 again?

Retro movie posters on the wall over there. You think actual movie theatres sell their leftover posters at flea markets? Should they?

Undertaker comic book! How exciting could a comic book be next to real wrestling? I bet somewhere around here you can buy old WWF DVDs, right?  I used the older WWF name because that's the logo in the upper corner there. The World Wildlife Fund later made them change it, to WWE.

Found some Supernatural books! Not from the show Supernatural. Coincidentally, they probably would have used books like these to research the various monsters in the show. I don't think they ever did an episode in a flea market, did they? There's so much old stuff here, it's so obvious! 15 seasons and no flea markets?

So... many... movies! There is a 100% chance there is at least one of these movies you would enjoy. The chance you will spend the time looking for it... not so much.

Check out the Gameboy Advance cartridges with multiple games on them! We need to check if we have a working Gameboy Advance, first. Pretty sure there's one of those at home... somewhere...

AHHH!!! PUPPIES!!! Jerry "The King" Lawler did wrestle for a bit before moving on to become a much better match commentator. Do you think he could scream "PUPPIES!" these days? I won't tell you what he meant by that.

Random booster packs of trading cards from all kinds of movies and stuff. What do you think Bench Warmers is? Could they really be so bold even back in 1992? AHH! Puppies!

Let's all forget the awkward scene in Return of The Jedi where Luke asks Leia about "Mom" and Leia remembers... what exactly? The Star Wars wiki page says her adoptive Mom Breha died on Alderaan when (spoilers?) so there is a bit of logic juggling going on here. Still... let's make that action figure!

It's just plain funny to see Rob Gronkowski's smiling face among the other WWE Wresting Superstars. I guess kids these days might think the same thing about Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson.

The name "Booch Pop" was funny, and here's a whole palette for you! Because you need that much Booch Pop!

I'm reminded that they made a Dora the Explora live-action movie that I did not see yet. How many movies are like that, where you kind of want to see them, never get around to it, and then one day you remember.. oh yeah! I wanted to see that,... didn't I?

Yip yip yip yip! Yip yip yip yip! The song of the Flea Market Puppy!

We got here early enough to check out the dirt lots that usually close up earlier than the rest of the market. Who wants to wake up early on a Saturday? Well, if we got here sooner, this area should be overwhelmed busy, we're just glad there's stuff here at all.

I wanted to get a picture of that awful hat with the skeletons all over it. Can you see it up there? It might have been fun to have just taken pictures of the tables without any reason, so you could look for odd stuff, yourself.

There's a whole area over there with military stuff. We play Call of Duty a lot, you think we would recognize anything specific?

Don't you have to EARN the medals? Do you need proof of that before you can buy these? Now that I think about it, might there be a market for the Call of Duty game medals? There's certainly no "Merciless" medal that exists in real life, right?

You can purchase a Green Beret, but you might not actually BE a "Green Beret". And next to it,... is that a raspberry beret, the kind you find in a second hand store?

Call of Duty gives you "Care Packages" in the game where you open them to get random stuff. These all had duplicates in them. Just kidding, we didn't open them.

There's more pictures from the flea market but this is a good place to stop... hammer time.
