Another Brick Store

Not really a full adventure, but this bunch of pictures is mostly from this new Lego store that opened up in the mall near us. I didn't take enough pictures in there, so there's also a few random ones at the end.

This place is called K&B Brick Store and is a close copy of the other place, Andy's Brick Shop, in the Oxford Valley Mall which is not too far away. Quaker Bridge Mall is much closer to us, so it's a all good! The basic concept here is like a 2nd-hand store, but exclusively for Lego stuff.

Not sure if this is an actual giant Lego-produced sculpture that was acquired by the store, or something they built themselves. Either way, it's Lego, so you can technically copy this if you had enough pieces. If you don't recognize her, this is the Jurassic World velociraptor named Blue.

Check 'em out! Individual Lego minifigures. Removed from their sets, they can seem expensive for just the one figure, but not so much considering you'd sometimes need to buy a very expensive set to have them normally. Sure you get the other bricks, but sometimes you just want the one character.

How can an old set say "NEW" hahaha. That means it's not been opened and stuff, of course. Old sets that have not yet been played with or built, still all sealed up, can be hard to find, thus they can be very expensive.

Of course old sets can be hard to find at all, so even if they've been opened and put together, they can still be valuable and expensive. Lego produced SpongeBob sets for a while.

As rare as Captain America himself frozen in the ice? They had a 2012 convention-exclusive minifigure with a whopping pricetag of $1200!! There's only 124 more of these out there. How do you even come up with a price for something like that?

They opened a Legoland theme park in New York last year. I guess it's not too far away, but here's a park-exclusive set. A little cool to see it outside of the park gift shop.

The Vidiyo minifigure set was packaged in boxes that could not be "squished" to feel for the figure inside. They are regularly priced at $5 for a random figure, so $7 for exactly the one you want isn't too bad considering. As long as you are okay that somebody else opened the box and touched it. But that's like, this whole store almost.

There was a TV lounge area, playing some kind of movie of the Lego Friends characters. There's no shortage of Lego shows and films to play there all the time.

Here's a Lego set from not too long ago. You probably can't find this in a store anywhere, but maybe you'd get lucky. So it's not marked up as much. Interesting to note that the longer it goes unsold, the more valuable it will become, and thus the price will go up. Oh, snap!

Lego gives out displays for stores to use, and I guess they can wind up in a place like this. You probably don't recognize these ships, they are from a video game called Star Wars: The Old Republic. Once you've done enough X-Wings, Lego has to try something else for Star Wars.

Why buy a bunch of stuff to throw a Lego party at home, they can do all that for you at the mall! Not having to clean up a party is a good enough reason to at least consider the option.

There was something extremely unsettling about this Lego costume upper half on top of the sexy legs for the lower half. Those don't go together!

Want some expensive Lego Star Wars minifigures? This is a very odd lesson in regret economics. Remember that set you passed on 10 years ago? Don't you wish you got it now? Look how expensive these are!

I wonder how many people pulled the whole "I bought this old set but it was missing the minifigure" bit, before they put up this sign.

This picture on the box looks like poor Mace Windu is crashing his ship! Pull up! Too late! AHHHH!!! He'll probably jump to safety and rescue the droid, too. No worries. Also fun that they gave him purple missiles to fire, to match his purple lightsaber.

Have a few extra random pictures! From the anime InuYasha, this companion creature is named "Kilala", at least that's how they pronounce it on the show. It's odd that they spell it with R's instead of L's.

Jingle All The Way came out in 1996. But... if you still want the Turbo Man figure... Has this been hiding in the Walmart for 25 years? No wonder they had such a hard time finding them in the movie.

These sprinkles are perfect for your Breaking Bad viewing party, witch. (in the show, that would be a different word...) You can be the one who knocks!

This was probably meant to be thoughtful, but I read this and got a little terrified. Like, you look up and something was about to jump on you, or something. Don't look!

Not very funny until you read the web address. So... what's the other website I go to, to find my Braun Sex Press?

AHH!! Finally, somebody grew a brain and thought it might be worthwhile to print some more Animal Crossing Amiibo cards. These can be scanned into the not-so-new Animal Crossing: New Horizons game, which came out over a-year-and-a-half ago. Even though they are super late with this, still gotta give them some kind of credit for doing it at all.

They patched up the hole in my bathroom ceiling. It's not noticeable at all! At this point, they still will come back in and re-paint it... later.

Did I post a picture yet of the newly-discovered awesome ice cream topping? M&M Minis have the perfect amount of crunch and pop and sweetness. You've already decided to eat some ice cream, don't feel guilty about adding on the toppings! You deserve a treat.

Right on the heels of the bathroom ceiling mess, we get a crack in the bedroom window! Probably caused by a lawnmower throwing a rock. We had to wait until the beginning of the next month to get it replaced with a window from a different soon-to-be-vacant apartment. It was shockingly easy to pop out and swap with the fresh one. It's locked into place now, but seemed way too easy when they did it.
