Summer Bike Leavings

It looks like I had a few bicycle-riding pictures saved up from late summer. So keep in mind these pictures are from warmer days, and maybe imagine being warm, too.

I don't remember what name was on the storm that blew through here, but it made a mess of things and we got some pictures of it. The water looks extra "muddy"; probably also caused by the storm.

Blocked! Those trees are taking a nap. Slackers! Can't you see there are people trying to get past?!

No way we are getting the bike past that. It's like total video-game style "forest wall" that prevents us from getting to level 6 before we are ready. This massive tree is over the entire path, there's basically rivers on both ends of it. And it's too much to carry the bike over, or squeeze under. What was also notable here, is the number of people we passed on the long way out here. Nobody thought to turn us around? On our way back we passed at least two groups of people and warned them of the blocked route.

This deer stopped and was looking at us like it recognized us. Do we know you? I don't know what kind of treats deer would like, maybe we should carry some with us. This area has some office buildings, so maybe they are used to outdoor lunch break treats or something.

I took this picture in early September. A little far away from Halloween but around when the stores started carrying the decorations and stuff. Not sure if there is a connection to be seen with a witch and a handicap parking space, either way, ...be nice to the witch!

Huh huh huh, "Gas Dynamics" Laboratory. That's where Taco Bell test their new recipes? Or insert your other favorite fart jokes here.

This tree just struck us as a total character. It was sooo large it had to have been here for a very long time. It's cool to notice that even when they made all of these office buildings around it, they managed to respect this one tree and leave it alone.

OH! They finally paved over the trail behind our apartment! You might not remember, but this was un-ride-able tiny rocks for all summer long.

They hay, or whatever, on the sides was an odd touch. There must be some kind of engineering science to that. Besides just looking cool.

The next weekend we went back to the blocked path and it was magically re-opened! Somebody in the game found the "Chainsaw" item, I guess, and we can now continue on to Princeton. It was weird that they propped-up the bottom stump back into the water, as it looks like it could still fall back over.

Stopping to admire the flowers. Because I've heard you gotta do that. This picture doesn't even fully capture how pretty it was. So go out and find some real flowers yourself.

I thought this was funny with all of the NO TRESPASSING and DO NOT ENTER signs and then there's a bunch of American Flag stuff all over the building. Unintentional or blatant ...Politics?

On our way back, checking out the giant splinters on top of the stump, and now we are certain this is some kind of trap. We kept our eyes on it as we carefully passed around it.

Hmm, this is new. They put up some panels over the land-bridge here. I guess that big storm might have washed it away or something? It's been a while since we've been in this direction, due to that path construction.

Off of the trail we spot the little lake with the super green-green algae all on it. The camera unable to emphasize the green-ness of it all. It's like, the most-green thing you've ever seen.
