Rarely-seen figures

This is just more regular ole' non-adventure pictures of stuff.

What to say about Aurra Sing? They drop a cameo-style appearance in Star Wars: Episode 1 The Phantom Menace, use outside-the-movie sources to hype her up as some kind of Hunter of Jedi, and then... never use her in the other movies. That Heist Nebula figure is based off of production of an episode they stopped all together. Does the hidden-backstory mystery make these figures more valuable... or less? To be fair, they did use Aurra Sing in a few Clone Wars episodes, if that counts.

Look at that adorable Ahsoka! The background in the package is from the very scene, but if you didn't know what scene this is, the wording on the bottom of the package is just a little sillyness that tells you "His name is Grogu".

This package of Melissa & Doug safari puppets is normally sold in a set of four. When we saw them selling it as a set of three, it took us a hot minute to remember which one was missing. I'll save you the trouble... it's missing a zebra. The normal set includes a zebra.

Saw this funny "rip" in the car and this dog peeking out, and had to get a picture to share. We have friends who have similar long haired chihuahuas.

There was a random collectibles show at a mall around here, you know the type where there's a bunch of tables and stuff. Here's a classic Masters of the Universe Sorceress. Yeah she is a sorceress, but that's her name, too. She's The Sorceress ...and also a sorceress.

Anybody else see the Star Trek cartoon series? The original one, I know there are more cartoon series going on right now from Star Trek. Cat people and three-arms people would have been difficult to do on a live-action television show, especially in the 1970's.

Old figures from Buck Rogers! That one on the side there is Willie from Indiana Jones and the Temple of Doom, I know you'd be wondering about that, too.

There was a table with 3rd-party Lego figure designs. Some people can't stand these, as they are not made by the Lego company. But they are at least fun to see. Check out Jo Biden looking good, while they made Trump look comically insane. Nobody wants politics in their Lego bricks, right?

That. Is a lot. Of Pikachus.

Back when Joss Whedon made the Firefly series, and later this Serenity movie, the concept of a little girl totally beating up everybody around her was fresh and new. River even had the Borne Identity thing where she didn't remember all of her insane training.

Do you think merchadise from Buck Rogers will survive until the 25th Century? Those people will be like "That's what they thought we'd be like back then! Hahaha!" Like we do today with the Back to the Future stuff.

The Disney Toy Box series of figures is based off of the art style used in the Skylanders-rip off video game Disney Infinity. Remember when you had to scan figures to use them in a game? Anyway, This kind of makes me think... have they done a Mandalorian video game yet? I think I would know if there was a Grogu game somewhere.

Did you ever get the feeling that some things just don't need figures for them? This Austin Powers Fembot might be in that category. Although, I guess I do like girls of that.... calibur. [?... evil pinky smirk]

If you can't read the Korean text there, this is from the show Squid Game. If you couldn't already tell just by the number 456, either. No spoilers, but if you haven't yet seen it, the show is really good.

Were there any other characters on Star Trek: Voyager besides Captain Janeway and Seven of Nine? I think there was a Vulcan guy? And an annoying alien guy? Haha just kidding. But most of the episodes did seem to focus on these two the most.

Something of a miracle lucky find in the clearance aisle at a Target store! Not only did we actually find one of the new Baroness on the Cobra C.O.I.L. Motorcycle figures, it was half-price! We've only seen these at the 2nd-hand collector's thrift stores for as much as $120. She must have been hiding out somewhere for a long time in a dark corner of this store. She is a master spy, so it's easy to believe she could hide if she wanted to.

I had to get a picture of these adorable cat soda plushies with clever names like Dr. Purr Purr and Mountain Mew.

Why make giant Lego head storage bins, and not give them hats or hair-pieces? It's not like you can use your own you got in a different set for these.

Mind blown! They made a Dungeons & Dragons source book for the Strixhaven set of cards from Magic: The Gathering! Due to some time-loop shenanigans, that makes Strixhaven the first set of cards released by MTG to be from D&D, instead of the Forgotten Realms card set that came out after Strixhaven.

I feel like this makes me extra-nerdy, but I can't resist pointing out it would have been more appropriate for Black Widow to have been purple, because that's the color for the Soul Stone. Oh, snap!

I guess these pictures are from a while ago, when I saw the Spider-Man No Way Home movie. A lot of people are saying this is even better than Avengers: Endgame, and I really can see that they might be right there. Also gotta point out the Eternals poster right next to this. Two Marvel movies in the theatre at the same time!

A rare Spike plushie! It's funny that poor Spike on the show himself points out, whenever they talk about the main six ponies (or as the fans say "Mane Six Ponies") um... there's SEVEN of us!

Sometimes random figures sounds like a fun idea, but then you look at the options and realize you might spend waaaaayyyy too much money to get the one or two you really want, and then wind up not getting any at all. Is there a lesson here? Did I learn it by not buying any random figures?

Grumpy Cat is awesome in small doses. But do you really want this on your desk all the time?

Someone at the M&Ms art department is way out of touch with today's culture. For four solid years, across all media, that exaggerated wavy hair-do was associated with Trump and the ridiculous Trump-ness. What did they think you'd think of the moment you saw Red M&M wearing that hair? Are they purposefully marketing this to Trump fans? They even have Green M&M all cuddling-up to him. Red M&M is the best. Everyone says so.
