Shoe made of Bricks

Back with another kickin' hip-hop round of pictures.

Lego releases a set based on a... shoe? Classic Adidas Sneaker set, the box looks like a real shoe box instead of Lego's regular packaging. If you didn't know, there are people who collect shoes, and also people who collect Lego sets. And in the middle... is this!

in 1986 Run DMC released a song called "My Adidas" that everybody plays in their head whenever they see an Adidas shoe. You can clearly see this free-with-purchase mini Adidas shoe comes with a minifigure with a boombox and microphone. Does making it a "free" set escape them from having to give Run DMC some obvious endorsement money here?

Another funny thing spotted at the Lego Store, if you look closely at the back of the Firestar minifigure, the contours of her jacket back make it look like they purposefully gave her a... um... "booty"

Firestar comes in the new $300 Daily Bugle set. Can you just hear newspaper editor J. Jonah Jameson yelling about how much of an outrage that is? How many pictures of Spiderman would you have to sell to him to afford that set?

Covid lockdowns stole all the thunder from the now low-key opening of the Legoland Theme Park in New York. Am I a big enough fan to have gone for opening week or something? Eh,.. Now I see this and just remembered. Oh yeah, maybe I should go there sometime.

How are they going to show a full-on bowl of Froot Loops and call this flavor of KitKat "Fruity Cereal"? I didn't check to see if that was the exact picture from the box of Froot Loops or not, but it sure looks like it could be. Of course we picked some up... we needed a snack for later...

Later that day we went... to the movie theatre! Guess which of these movies we went to see? Yes.. we just had to see the new Boss Baby movie before all of the good jokes were spoiled. Just kidding, we went to see the latest "Marvel Movie", of course.

To our surprise, the local theatre still had $5 Tuesday movies! This picture says "Ending Soon" but that's actually the start time. The last movie we saw in this place was the Sonic The Hedgehog movie back on January 28th, 2020. 532 days ago! The short review of the movie: It was alright. So were the Fruity Cereal KitKats. Not mind-blowing, but far from terrible. There were no masks at all, and about a dozen or so other people in our showtime.

Should I be keeping track of how much we use the exercise bike? It does that for us! We hit 6000 miles! Not all in one time! This is a total for the many years we've been using this, could you imagine doing that all at once!?

Always fun to see when other people have posed the toys in the toy aisle. Here we can see Elsa and Spiderman bonding, maybe because they both have great powers and great responsibilities. Elsa could totally be an Avenger!

Chick-fil-A Sauce in a bottle a the store! At first this seems like a YAY! moment, but then you realize... can't you just get extra packs from an regular Chick-fil-A for like... free?

Another freaky Jalapeno Pepper. I can't decide what kind of funny comment to put here, what does this look like to you?

We watch this show Toon in with ME where they play old cartoons, and the host and his fish sidekick have commentary bits. At the end of the show, they usually comment on fan artwork sent to them, and we laughed when we saw a screen capture of a custom Animal Crossing setup!

Here's a close-up of the shot. There's been pictures online of various themed  pictures from various other properties done on Animal Crossing, but it was just exciting to see it on a TV show we watch.

This Traffic Reporter is pointing out how awful the New York Subway system was that day, FML. LMAO

This was an oddly disturbing picture I felt I had to take and share, for some reason. There were blades of grass growing -through- this mushroom. Why does this make me so uncomfortable to look at? Does it have the same effect on you?

The Internet tells me that Cauliflower Crust on pizza was first created in 2012. Paul Newman passed away in 2008. There's no way this could possibly be "Newman's Own", right? Sometimes I think... I'm such a nerd.

After having seen the Black Widow movie, we realize that this might be the first Lego set released, with more than one or two, regular minifigures, that has only female figures in it. Where do we go to look up this kind of Lego trivia?

Funny to see the word "Jerk" on a package. You're such a Jerk... Chicken.

Why did my friend laugh so much when he saw "Space Force" listed over there with the other military branches? It looks ridiculous, right?

Looks like they are re-booting My Little Pony with new characters. This one is named Izzy Moonbow. Do you think Minty will be in the new show? I've seen zero promotions for it, so I have no idea.

Yoda has a starfigher? It's small and cute just like him. Is that better? Or should he have gotten a regular-sized ship? Would that have looked just as silly? Get him a booster seat?

In Lego's defense, it was Disney who told them they could no longer use the name "Slave 1" and simply call this "Boba Fett's Starship". I don't feel like it's my place to make any sort of comment here commending that decision or rolling my eyes at it. Just wanted to point out this was the first time this ship's merchandise was re-named.

Who watched the Olympics? Wow I'm backed-up with my pictures to show these after the games are already over. Here's some Japanese Anime renderings of hyped-up athletes. No pressure Simone Biles, they took all this effort to make an awesome anime version of you!

Swimmer Katie Lidecky also splashed out of the water with an anime version. I wonder if they did this in other countries with their own athletes? It's not like they had a whole episode or anything, it was like 2 seconds of "power-up intensity" for each one.

Caeleb Dressel did indeed go all "Super Saiyan" and win 5 Gold Medals. I wonder if he saw this version of himself. He's such a humble guy, but even he would have to admit this looks mega awesome. They even anime'd-up his tattoo!

I saw this exclusive Olympic Hello Kitty Gymnast POP! Figure right before the Olympics and thought it would be bad luck to get it before I knew the results. It's very clever Japan-themed merch to get since Hello Kitty is virtually a Japan mascot.

Unseen by the no-spectators in the arena, this Robot came out for each game's halftime and nailed a free-throw, a three-pointer, and then a full on half-court shot. Flawless every time, it was constructed to grab and throw the basketball just like a real person would.

The robot was even programmed to pose and brag, too! You da' MAN! Well, you know what I mean.
