The Met part 5

The Pacific Island section of The Met had a bunch of really um, interesting statues.

I was trying to match this pose of this guy pointing to something. Party is this way!

This is a head dress I guess it looks like this character is going for a ride?


This tall statue looks like it crawled out of a Tim Burton movie? The plaque says this is a hat but who could possible get this on their head?


 
These boards go on each side of the chief's hut and represent their ancestors. Okay I read the plaque on that one.


There was a special exhibit of jewels by some guy named Jar, It was very dark in there but we managed to get a couple of bonus pictures. Here are some coral-looking earrings.


Owls and swans. There was a lot of sparkles in this section it was fun to imagine how much it would all be worth.
