American History 4

The last bunch of pictures from the American History Museum. There's plenty more museums and pictures to go!

In the gift shop... SPACE ICE CREAM! If you've never had any, you gotta get some! And if you have had some already, you still... gotta get some!

Click on the "Read more below" for more gift shop stuff.

The cherry blossom festival is a big deal in Washington DC. It was a while ago but there's still cute panda bears to be had.

It's Elizabeth Griscom "Betsy" Ross with the first American Flag! Yeah I looked that full name up. Also said they were originally going to be six-pointed stars but Betsy suggested easier five-pointed stars. That may or may not be true?

Look! The Rubt Slippers WERE in the museum!

Plenty of Ruby Slippers merchandise for not actually seeing them.

TIE fighter! Get it? A tie? With TIE fighters on it? Not so obvious was the BB-8 paisley one next to it.

Hey a Star Trek poster!

You think Tony Hawk would get a skate board in here? He's not THAT old but we did rush up excitedly to see if these were his and sad to find out they weren't.

Keytar! I can hear sounds of the 80's in my head!

And.... we're outside. Now we are going to wait by the fountain for our Uber ride over to the Lincoln Monument.

When America keeps growing I guess they'll build more museums for the newer stuff and this older stuff will become more special. Hooray for museums!
