Toy Fair 2014 special post: Grumpy Cat!

Everypony knows of the Gund company they have been making stuffed toys for like a hundred years. This year they had new "Grumpy Cat" plushies and THE Grumpy Cat was there! I almost missed my chance for a photo but my business card got me the 5 seconds I needed to grab this epic celebrity pic!

Can I say I made a new friend? Grumpy Cat says take the stupid picture already.

Toy Fair 2014 special post: Mega Bloks

Yay "social media!" I could lecture here about how internet publicity has changed the way companies advertise, but instead I'll just show some cool pictures I would not have gotten without flashing my new business cards to an excited company willing to let me into their fortress, to help sneak some images on the internet and generate some free advertising.

Toy Fair 2014! part1!

Hi little ponies! My friends went to the New York Toy Fair again and I got to tag along and grab some pictures. Lots of pictures! I'll break it down to a bunch every other day or so. This year was kinda special for me because we had printed out business cards to advertise the blog, and as a result got a little bit of a "press" boost which gained access to a couple of places we might not have otherwise seen! I felt a little bit like a celebrity!

The Met part 7

Gift shop at the Metropolitan Museum of Art! This is the last part of my museum post-a-thon. It's fun taking lots of pictures, maybe this was a little overwhelming for one trip but it sure was a lot of fun!

While going through the museum, we saw this little blue hippo and thought it was cute but didn't stop for a picture with it. Then we see there is a whole merchandising section for "William" and wanted to run back and get a picture of the real piece. So if you go to The Met, keep an eye out for him?

 

Jewelry in the gift shop! from Imperial Russia?!

This was not in the museum, but on the way to dinner we saw this horse lamp in a shop and thought it was too funny and had to get a picture of it. That's a full-size horse with a lamp on it's head. Maybe one day it will be in the museum?

This restaurant was very tasty and they had the coolest toothpicks. Go there for the great food, the toothpicks are just a bonus!

The Met part 6

Part 6 of the Metropolitan Museum of Art got a little crazy with some random pictures as we were running through some weird sections....

Check out this cow. It's an ancient cow. Which means it sure has had a lot of moos.
