The Wave

Pictures from the New York Toy Fair are coming soon, right now here's a short gallery of artist-ic pictures and just random stuff, too.

This is Katsushika Hokusai from the game Fate: Grand Order. She's the "heroic spirit" of the famous Japanese artist who manifested as one of his daughters, Oi, who also was an artist. Yeah that's only a little complicated. Hokusai is actually a tiny octopus floating nearby. Her moves in the game revolve around smashing monsters with her large brush as it "paints" the attacks around them. It's cool that this game is teaching us about history and stuff, even if it's all mixed up about it.

Aliens 2

I'm not sure how I convinced my friend to get another one of these Treasure X Aliens creature dissection sets, but I did! We noticed a new series came out and before he could even ask "why?" I grabbed one and threw it in the shopping basket. "Why are you making me do this again?" he asks. Hey, we need to post pictures of something entertaining, right?

I don't see where it says "Series 2" but the packaging is different. These are in blue tanks, while the first batch was in green crystals. Three new creatures are now swallowing aliens so be careful, it's a crazy space out there.

Decepticon Paperfolder

Another batch of random pictures with fun comments to share.

This Transformer has been around since 2007. Has anybody pointed out that his NAME is "Bonecrusher"? Do robots have "bones"? How is that his name? Even if it's a nickname or codename, it shouldn't be very intimidating to another giant robot. Yeah, we ALL crush bones, you're not scary with that name.

Barrett Street Antiques part 2

There was enough pictures gathered from the Barrett Street Antique Center in Virginia Beach to fill another post. So let's continue checking out old stuff and making fun comments.

Emergency red phone! I guess you can have a red phone without it being for emergencies. Did this phone ever call Batman? Holy Salespitch!

Barrett Street Antiques

These pictures are from a while ago during my trip to Virginia. I was told about another giant antique mall. That's... a mall full of antiques, not an old mall that is itself antique. This one is not as full of old toys like the other Antique Mall, but we enjoy checking out old stuff, so let's go get some pictures to share.

It's called Barrett Street Antique Center. Guess what street it's on? The highway is right next to it, you can see it clearly every time you pass by. Right off of the Lynnhaven Parkway exit, if you know the area.

Baby Mr Peanut!

Here's a little batch of pictures we took watching the Superbowl. I didn't think I'd take any this year, but there was some fun stuff to share thoughts on.

By far the best commercial was "Baby Mr. Peanut", later official named Baby Nut. It could have been done better, but the fact that they pulled it off was amazingly hilarious. If you don't know, it's an obvious rip-off of The Child from The Madalorian, or as everybody know him; "Baby Yoda." As Star Wars fans, this was pure brilliance.

Remember Xmas?

Here's a bunch of quick pictures from our Xmas visit to Virginia. That was a while ago, but maybe it will help bring back some memories of the season.

Spontaneous snack idea, couldn't decide between cookies or ice cream. How about a scoop of ice cream on a cookie? This technically counts as a vacation for us, so treat yourself.
