M'ask you somethin'

Another batch of pictures from shopping adventures. And stuff.

This is the time right before these masks disappear, probably just as quickly as they started appearing. Do you remember? Last year it was a struggle to find masks at all... and then BAM! Masks of all colors everywhere! If you want some, for whatever reason, get 'em while you can.

The Shot

It's time to shoot some more pictures! Maybe...  some special shot? These pictures were taken a few weeks ago, when the limits imposed on the Covid Vaccine shots were finally lowered enough to get this little pony into an appointment. There's other random pics here, too.

We tried to use the web site to schedule an appointment, but that gave us trouble so we wound up calling a hotline which took a few minutes but was probably just as easy. I kind of feel like I need to explain how amazing the whole vaccine thing is, only because it's been made into a "political topic" and now it feels kind of awkward that I need to mention it. I'll just say I was excited to be getting it, and look forward to the return of the world the way it was.

Pretzels+

Snack time! You may remember I bought a "kit" for Halloween that included melting wafers and Pretzels. I didn't get to fix them until Xmas but they were good enough for a re-run. Later when I saw an Easter kit available, I decided to try to assemble my own kit. And here's the snack story in pictures!

The Pretzels and Wafers Bag were $3 each. I tried to get some "Minty"-colored wafers, even if they taste like vanilla instead of mint. I already had some rainbow sprinkles, for ice cream, but decided to buy some special colors. I almost didn't, because I was thinking "who am I trying to impress? Sprinkles are sprinkles." But I AM going to take pictures of this, so I guess I AM trying to impress somebody! Special color sprinkles were $1 per tiny bag, I suggest you buy a giant cup of rainbow sprinkles for like $2. Like a mad scientist, I'm ready to cook!

Free Tots

Another order of pictures! This one came with free tots!

Our Smash Burger rewards program thing got us an order of free tots! Well, I guess we don't need the fries AND the tots, so take off the order of fries. Well.. what do you know? The total was MORE? Just so you know for yourselves, the free tots don't work with the "make it a combo" pricing, and the combo discount was more, and it took several minutes, and no less than four people, to un-do the knot in the register. Constantly yelling to the kitchen to "IGNORE THIS!" as they re-entered and tried to delete stuff. It was a fun little show to watch, and I wound up with both fries and tots.

Columbus Farmers Market again part 2

Another bunch of pictures from the Columbus Farmer's Market. We were not shopping for farmers, it's just called that. It's really a flea market. Hmm.. but we were not shopping for fleas either. Sorry for using that same joke I used last time, but it's still good, right?

This was a very odd little nook. I was wondering If I could get this with one picture, and I think I did. You can clearly see that door just leads to the other side of the wall there. Did this use to be a closet? Flea markets can have some hobbled-together-style architecture, but this looks like a pretty professionally-built part of the building.

Columbus Farmers Market again

We wanted to do "something" with our Saturday, and settled on going out to the kind-of-nearby adventure spot. You know it's always a fun afternoon hunting for treasures. It's not really about the treasures, but the exploration is entertaining. So let's get some pictures to share while we are out.

Flea Market! Who wants to go buy some fleas? That's a good question; can you actually buy some fleas at a flea market? I guess technically this is called  Columbus Farmers Market, so let's go see if we can buy some... farmers?

Aisle Browsing

Aisles and aisles of pictures. Just browse up and down and see if you can find something to rent for the night.

Anybody else miss the whole "Blockbuster Video Experience"? We saw this random movie at Walmart and my friend thought it was the exact type of movie they would have rented. Who cares if it winds up being terrible? It might wind up being awesome, too. Is there something about reading a box that's better than scrolling through menus on a streaming service?
