International Spy Museum: James Bond

Still posting pictures from our trip to the International Spy Museum, there was a huge exhibit full of stuff from the many movies starring the character James Bond. The very mention of the term "spy" instantly recalls the vision of Mr. Bond and all of his various missions. Dare I sneak away with pictures?

Ah a poster from the 1999 blockbuster movie Le Monde ne Suffit Pas. I remember seeing it but that title is not familiar.

James Bond to the rescue! Click on the "Read more" below?

International Spy Museum 4

If anypony asks, these pictures are NOT from the International Spy Museum in Washington, DC.

Spies have the coolest cars. Is that a sales pitch? Hey, be a spy? It's super dangerous but you get a cool car!

International Spy Museum 3

Still a lot more pictures from the International Spy Museum to report to the secret agencies

We weren't sure if this sign was supposed to be funny, or if someone was actually listening to us. Or is this just good advice? Act like someone is always listening.

Does typing count as talking and reading count as listening? Click the "Read more" below for nothing you need to know about nevermind.

International Spy Museum 2

Nopony needs to know this but, just for you, here's some pictures you never saw.

It's reasonable to think there would be a school for spies, but it's probably not called "The school for spies." Did I just think of a movie idea? Kinda like Harry Potter, but with spies instead of magic? Ack! don't be a spy and steal my idea! Now the student has become the master!

There goes my bazillions of dollars. You might as well click on the "Read more" below to check out more pictures, at least?

International Spy Museum!

There it is. I would say that meeting my friend's family and spending time with them was the best part of our trip to Washington DC, but by far the second coolest thing was the International Spy Museum. I took tons of pictures so by the time I'm done you might feel like you've been there yourself?

Here in this building is a bunch of not-so-secret secrets stuff. There's maybe a little philosophical debate to be had about revealing secrets in a museum format, like showing how the magic tricks are done? Time to go behind that curtain!

A few more from OBX '17

We didn't really take too many pictures, choosing instead to do a bunch of relaxing. We went swimming in the pool and forgot to take any pictures of that! Well, there's still some pictures to share.

Here's a map of the Sea Scape resort. We left an advertisement on the peg board. Any new visitors to the blog? Howdy!

OBX '17!

While there's one more Museum from Washington DC to post pictures from, which I will keep... secret... for now hehe, I thought I'd take a little break to post pictures from our trip to the Outer Banks in North Carolina.

Hanging out in Wal-Mart while awaiting the arrival of our friends. Got here a little later than usual but we're relaxing so no big deal. There's plenty to browse around to keep busy for a few minutes.

Vacation time! Click on the "Read more" below!

Around DC

This is a potpourri kinda bunch of pictures. Pictures that didn't really fit into another batch. Mostly like around-town things we saw.

Can you call it a "subway" is it's going over a bridge? There's a big 'ole river around this city and the subways jump over it.

More interesting pictures click on the "Read more!"

Natural History 3/3

Time for one last batch of pictures before the Natural History Museum closes for the day! Why do the museums close so early? I bet there's a display explaining that somewhere?

Actual space travelers! They may just be rocks, but they traveled through space to get here! If they could only tell stories.

Mostly rocks when you click the "Read more" below, but they're pretty cool rocks?

Natural History 2/3

Quickly running through the Natural History museum in Washington, DC. But still trying our best to "take in" the importance.

There's a laboratory "on display" so you can watch the Scientists um, do stuff. Is this like NASCAR where you secretly want them to mess up so you can watch the wreckage? We don't watch racing but we hear that's a thing?

Click on the "Read more" below for more running-through pictures!

Natural History 1/3

Nature-al History! For some reason my friend really wanted to see some dinosaurs. There was not much time left before the museums were going to close, but we still had like an hour and a half so that sounds like enough time, right?

This is outside the museum. My friend's favorite dinosaur, the Triceratops. So now we can go, right? What? You want to see the whole thing? Sure I bet there's a lot of neat stuff in there!

Little Bit of Air and Space

We went to meet up with our friends who were over at the Air and Space Museum. So we popped in for a second and grabbed a few pictures while we were there.

Awwww yeah! The ORIGINAL original Starship Enterprise! The one actually filmed for the show! Not a replica, or just-like-it. Actually IT! Aren't museums awesome?

We've been here before but there's still a couple more pictures to see. Click on the "Read more" below!

Washington Monument

It's hard to miss this big white tower of awesomeness in DC. It's the Washington Monument!

This picture was from the Uber ride over to the Lincoln Memorial. I wanted to get the sun right behind it but oh well it's still a cool picture.

We walked by and took a few more pictures click the "Read more" below to see?

WWII Memorial

Continuing our walk around Washington, DC, at the other end of the Reflecting Pool is the Memorial for World War II. They use the double "I's" instead of the number 2. I wonder if this will eventually be like Lincoln's "four score" thing? I guess we all still remember Roman Numerals better than scores.

There it is over there. It's a big fountain surrounded by columns representing all of the states and stuff that helped win.

Click on the "Read more" below for the walk-around.

Vietnam Memorial

After the Lincoln Memorial, we stopped by to check out the nearby Vietnam Memorial. Only took a small amount of pictures here.

Statue of some heroic soldiers. Will future ponies think this looks like a this-era version of knights?

Only a few more pictures, click on the "Read more?"
