Hi little ponies! My friends went to the New York Toy Fair again and I got to tag along and grab some pictures. Lots of pictures! I'll break it down to a bunch every other day or so. This year was kinda special for me because we had printed out business cards to advertise the blog, and as a result got a little bit of a "press" boost which gained access to a couple of places we might not have otherwise seen! I felt a little bit like a celebrity!
Giant sign at the entry way to the Javits Center in Manhattan. This was the 111th Toy Fair! Click on the "Read more" below to go see more pictures already!
Ty Beanie Baby plushies! Unlike last year, this year they said they were working on marketing these giant versions of the ponies and they were not only for promotional display. What does this cute Fluttershy say to that? yay!
Nothing new from Skylanders this year. The last couple of years their promotional figures caused quite a bit of madness so they were insistent they did not have any this year. We spied a couple of unique looking figures in their display anyway...
Another similarly metallic-painted like the previous exclusive figures. We didn't resort to begging, but we asked a few times and they said no exclusives this year...
This company called Oyo had cool sports figures. We asked for a Derek Jeter but they didn't have one. He was so popular they couldn't spare any for the show. Here I am with some New York Mets!
These are called Celestial Buddies and were so cute we just had to get a picture with them! Should I make some funny comment about gravity and being drawn to these things?
New Smurfs are pirates. Are these for kids? Because they be rated "ARRRR!"
These foam ball squeezie guns were a lot of fun they had a big mess of ammo and shooters in their booth it was crazy awesome.
You may recognize these characters from Pulp Fiction? So many choices of lines to quote for these Funko Pop figures but I'm not sure how many are appropriate for this blog. Lets go with "they call it a Royale with cheese."
