Xmas Time Wandering

In Manhattan at Dylan's Candy Bar they have celebrity visitors fill boxes with thier favorite candy. Jared Padalecki, who plays Sam on our favorite TV show Supernatural, likes... sour gummy worms?

Pokemon Moon

I didn't expect to be taking pictures of this game, but enough stuff was going on that I thought it might be fun to share. I guess we can start with the title itself: Pokemon "Moon." Like when you pull your pants down and "moon" somepony? So right off the box there's some innuendo involved.

The first picture I took of this game was a funny translation of "chicken skin." I think they meant "goose bumps?"

Top of The Rock

Not Top of Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson! "The Rock" is short for the Rockefeller building in Manhattan in New York City! When a friend visits from out-of-town it's a perfect reason to do some tourist stuff like checking out how massive this city is! Who's going all the way up without getting pictures to share?

This classic picture from the building of this... building is typical of NYC's upward expansion era when all these towers got built. just off to the right they're taking $30 photo-op pictures where your family can re-create this scene!

New Rochelle Art

My friend was in a stage production for an Art Festival in New Rochelle, New York. The performance was at the Library. While we were waiting for the show to start, we wandered around and took some pictures!

Here's the Library. For those that don't know,

 a Library was like the Internet, but using BOOKS instead of screens. The old word for "Google" was "Encyclopedia."

New Rochelle Walk of Fame

Exploring the city of New Rochelle, New York, we wandered into a park that had a Walk of Fame highlighting famous residents. Perfect opportunity to grab some pictures!

Fall Bike Ride

It's Fall time and the incredible combo of super-nice-day and get-off-of-work-early equals a great opportunity for a bike ride! Got some nice nature pictures for everypony!

We have a nice trail to ride on. This might be dirt but it's still good enough for bikes.

Louden Swain Concert

Saturday night at the Supernatural convention in Whippany New Jersey! The actor who plays "Chuck" on the show, Rob Benedict, is the front-man vocalist/guitarist for the band Louden Swain and super-naturally they have a rockin' concert!

Can I take pictures of a concert? What? It's loud I can't hear you! Anyway, enjoy the pictures!

Supernatural Con! Again!

Didn't we just go to one of these? You can't have enough of a good thing, right? This time it was in Whippany, New Jersey. It was close enough to drive to, so we saved some hotel money this time!

It's the best part of America that we all get to vote even if we can't stand the whole thing. There's got to be SOMETHING you care about so go vote for THAT!

Do you believe in time travellers? I get the feeling that THIS might be that moment in history some time traveller would venture back to fix. Haha. Remember Y2K? Anyway, don't let that thought stop you from voting!

Disney's Yacht Club

Saved the best bunch of pictures from our vacation for the last! Our friend had book us into the Disney's Yacht Club resort for a few nights! So excited to be in such a fancy place!

There's a ferry boat from Epcot to the resort over there! You can walk if you want, too. It's so close to Epcot it almost seemed silly to take the boat.

Star Wars STUFF

There were mad props at the Star Wars Launch Bay, yo! MAD props! Haha seriously there was a lot of props from the movies on display some of which you thought you could never see!

Is this a sexy Boba Fett helmet? If you've seen the Star Wars:Rebels cartoon you'll recognize this as Sabine Wren's helmet. But She's a cartoon character and here's a real prop! How cool is that?!

Here's the Star Wars Launch Bay, inside Disney's Hollywood Studios park. This is the place they crammed full of Star Wars goodness, a highlight of our trip! Of course there was lots of pictures!

Disney Springs new pictures

There's one place that you can go to that kind-of counts as a Disney Theme park, just without all of those troublesome rides and attractions. What's left is lots of shopping! It's called Disney Springs!

Over the last year they added a ton of new stuff to this place! There were massive parking garages FULL of cars. Good thing we took the bus! You can zoom in on the map here to check out the many stores!

Hollywood Studios

Disney's Hollywood Studios! Most of the Disney parks could be tied in to blockbuster movies but this is supposed to be the place to go for that kind of thing. There will be other posting on the Star Wars pictures, this bunch is some of the other cool stuff that was there.

I heard this hotel was good. If you think randomly getting thrown up and down in the haunted elevator is good.

Epcot! Again! If you've been checking the blog you might remember we went to Epcot already this year, but since we had "park hopper" tickets we thought we'd go check out some new stuff.

It's a cool thing to get on a Disney Monorail car and "sing along" with the announcer  "Please stand clear of the closing door... Por favor mantengase alejado de las puertas."

The first night we booked a quick stay at the Disney All Star Movies resort. We were there only to get some sleep before a full-park day but I managed to get some pictures here.

Considered a low-end budget resort, it was still very nice.

Cool House on the Inside

The Cool House

Every Saturday we drive our friend to work. Part of the trip takes us through a neighborhood full of "rich people" houses, you know the type. This particular house was always the "coolest" looking of the bunch, and every other time we would comment "That house looks so cool!" or something. Imagine our surprise when one particular weekend, we spotted "Estate Sale" signs outside! A non-creepy excuse to wander around the cool house and take pictures! Sold!

There's not really ONE picture that captures how cool this house is. Good thing I took a bunch of them!

While we were in Pittsburgh, we decided to check out a "tourist thing" and wound up at the Andy Warhol Museum! This is the guy that highlighted the idea that art is everywhere in the modern world even in something as simple as a can of soup.

Here's the building. It's 7 floors but really not that big inside. Still an impressive collection of stuff.

Magical Sandwiches in Pittsburgh.

Pittsburgh had some awesome food. I'm glad I took pictures so I could share, in case you are travelling there you'll have an idea of what's good!

Here's Primanti Bros. They have 3 locations all in Pittsburgh, I don't know why it's only here, this sandwich was so good I might consider driving 12 hours there and back home, paying the nearly $80 in toll money, just to get another one of these sandwiches. I wonder if they deliver?!

Here's the magically delicious sandwich. Fries and coleslaw and sandwich all together! I was afraid it would not fit in my mouth. Seriously this place needs to franchise all over. Next to my house at least.

Supernatural Convention Pittsburgh 2016!

Join the hunt! That's the tagline for the TV Show Supernatural. Soon it will be showing new episodes from the 12th season, this show has got quite an impressive fandom. My crazy friends drove a long way and spent a lot of money to surround themselves in this show's cool-ness! Of course I get to tag along and get some pictures to share!

Here's the main hall where all of the actors come out and chat with the audience. Lots of fun to be had here for sure! Nothing going on right now though.

Going to Pittsburgh

Road trip time! My friends were going to a convention for the TV show Supernatural and it was in Pittsburgh Pennsylvania. About a six hour drive awaited us. It's not to easy getting pictures from the car since everything goes by so fast, but I got some anyway. You don't need to spend six hours here.

We haven't seen a number this big on the GPS before!  The Pennsylvania Turnpike was a nice straight curvy road all the way there. We were not expecting a $37 toll, each way, but it WAS a nice road I guess...

You have to be amazed that these rocks don't just fall down. For like a thousand years! 

Happy to be in a castle! I don't need to find any dragons or anything. The castle is cool enough.

Magic Traveling!

Hello My Little Ponies! This may require a bit of explanation. Let's just say that I've discovered a type of magic that will let me travel on board this ship to far away places. What am I doing with this magic? Taking pictures to share, of course! 

I'm traveling with my friend, she's in the awesome Broadway show on the ship. She's the CUTE one, of course, with the BEST singing voice! I'll be magically visiting her, as she and I go to all sorts of cool places!

Undiscovered Con 2016

How cool is it that a local comic shop organized a whole convention? Undiscovered Realms made up their own Undiscovered Con in White Plains, New York. Guest Celebrities and everything! They gave me a free pass for some press coverage so let's get to some pictures!
