Waiting for Minty

Theatre night! It was a belated Christmas present, to be taken to see one of the two shows currently being shown at the Cort Theatre. The big exciting reason was to see live performances by the two main stars, of course! It was a Sunday so the play we went to see was Waiting for Godot.

Here's our view of the stage. Minty's official review? The play was simple and complicated at the same time. Very "deep" and thought provoking but at the same time very funny and amusing. Something for great actors to be great in? They were!

One of the main stars! Captain Jean-Luc Picard himself, Sir Patrick Stewart! His performance was as amazing as you would expect. And all the actors were nice enough to meet the crowd outside after the show!

There's the other main star of the show Sir Ian McKellen! You might recognize him as Gandalf from the Lord of the Rings and Hobbit movies? YOU SHALL NOT PASS! Without being super cool and signing our Playbill and maybe stopping for a photo?

 

Here's the Playbill signed by the entire cast including Billy Crudup and Shuler Hensley. There was a boy on stage who did a few lines, Aidan Gemme, and even he was cool enough to sign autographs! What a great treasure to have for such a memorable night!
