The highlight of any trip to St. Louis, the Thomas Jefferson National Westward Expansion Memorial! Also known as "The Arch" or "Gateway to The West"
There it is! Don't mind the construction mess, we were "lucky" to be visiting during a big renovation project so if you decide to visit it will probably look less like dirt and more like a happy park.
This might be the most pictures I've grouped together so click on the "Read more" below to check it all out!
Where do we get tickets? I wish there was a giant banner somewhere...
Here's the space pod you ride in to get to the top of the Arch. This one doesn't go anywhere.
The sidewalk points the way! Funny story, those shadows are from local news reporters who almost stepped on me. They saw us taking pictures, right?
Right under the Arch! We could have taken dozens of these pictures! And we did!
If you didn't know what this was, what could it be? From this angle it looks a lot different.
I touched it so it's real! Who else does that kind of thing?
Waiting by door 4 for our space pod!
Up we go!
Of course there's windows up here, that's the whole idea!
Mississippi River y'all!
Gotta be the number one question asked up here so point to the sign?
You can look straight down outside the window.
Haha I can get up higher than anypony here by standing near the ceiling. Also, why is there a wooden block up here?
How far can you see! Amazing!
Riverboats?! Would have been fun to do that, but we didn't have enough time...
That's a bunch of city.
On last look down to the renovation construction site.
Okay, ready to get down already!
Lucky door number 7!
The glass door on the space pod, lots of elevator shaft stuff.
Gift shop timeeeee!
Fridge magnets! Check out how high we were?
Old bonnets? Neat!
Yeah this thing gets an award plaque!
Another picture lookin' up! Are those rain clouds?
We had one great weekend in St Louis and Missouri!
