Around the World Showcase part 1

The World Showcase is a major part of Disney's Epcot theme park. There's a big lake, and all around it are various "country" sections highlighting the cultures of the world. People from those countries work there, you can sample the "local" cuisines, shop for some regional souvenirs, and generally once you've made your way around the lake you really feel like you've been on a trip! 

Our trip started in Canada. Surprising to me, but this is the only Canadian picture we took. It's beautiful scenery, but where's the snow? I guess not ALL of Canada is snowy.

Test Track

Test Track is one of the best rides at Epcot! The theme is that you are designing a new car and need to test it out. And by "test it out" we mean "ride a roller coaster!" Here's a bunch of pictures, not too many this time.

I bet Chevrolet wanted their name to be bigger than the coaster's name here.

Epcot 2016

This big golf ball thing should easily be recognized as the building for Spaceship Earth. and is the centerpiece of the Disney's Epcot theme park. The big finale of our vacation in Florida. We took lots of pictures!

The fountain has a music-timed water show. It looks better at night because the water is colored by lights. But since our camera doesn't do night pictures as well, here's some nice-sky'd daylight.

Three-level purple buses carry around... wizards! Hop on board and take a trip to "Harry Potter land! They don't actually call it "Harry Potter Land" but making up my own name for the place makes me feel like a little pony again. 

I hear this guy drives this bus like a crazy person.

Florida 2016 Harry Potter part 1

Next up on the vacation was a trip to Harry Potter land in Universal Studios. Got so many pictures and had to split them into two parts like the last movie? 

No trip to Hogsmead is complete without a cup of Butterbeer! So yummy!

Disney Monorail Trips!

From Disney Springs you can catch a shuttle bus over to a Disney Hotel and ride the Monorail around to some "free" Disney touristing stuff. I thought I took a picture of the actual Monorail, haha, but we rode it around to a few places!

Had to learn how to post a video file! In the Grand Floridian Hotel there was a live band playing the "Cantina" music from Star Wars! Can't really take a picture of the music, so enjoy a rare Minty Video!

The Polynesian Hotel has this iconic Tiki statue in the lobby. Isn't it cute?

Welcome to Disney Springs!

Most ponies know this place as "Downtown Disney,"  a shopping center on "Disney Property" that you don't have to pay to get into. Basically like shops you would find in the Disney parks, but not actually IN the parks. Anyway it was recently re-branded to be called "Disney Springs." Anyway, we went again and of course took lots of pictures!

Our hotel was across the street, there was a  walkway over the road. Go down there with some money to burn?
