More pictures from the Supernatural convention in Whippany NJ! These pictures are more of an excuse to talk about the fun discussion panels the actors had!
"You inspired me to be a better pony blah blah and my question is; can I have a hug?"
Click on the "Read more" below! There's stuff to talk about!
The "hosts" of the weekend Rob Benedict and Richard Speight Jr sang a song to the tune of "talkin' 'bout our generation" for "talkin' rules and regulations" that got stuck in everypony's head all weekend.
Sheriffs! We did not notice until somepony asked a relevant question, but the actress for Sheriff Mills was the Mom in The Suite Life of Zack and Cody! Now we can't get that picture out of our heads! During her panel, she did NOT answer a question about demon possession which would suggest it happens to her in her recently-shot episode?
That guy dancing on stage is Julian Richings. He plays Death on the show, but you wouldn't be able to tell by how animated and happy he is! That's called "acting"?
Walking to our seats I got a picture from the back of the room. Not really any bad seats here!
Osric Chau played Kevin Tran for a season or two. He had several funny stories. One was about how he would chew on the corners of his childhood blanket and his mom finally threw it away when he was like eleven. He claims to still remember the flavor!
Another fun story Osric told was about how he auditioned for a role in a Mongolian war film in a cosplay outfit he already had, because he thought it would impress the casting agents. Later the casting agents told him they couldn't stop staring at his nipple. That got a lot of laughs from the crowd!
Friday night was Karaoke night! The actors came out to the stage wearing Game of Thrones costumes? That's Rob Benedict in the Khalesi outfit!
The Karaoke sign up was quite a lottery. Like a thousand people all putting in songs to sing with the actors on stage. My friend was miraculously picked to go up and sing "Tequila" he said it was an amazing experience!
Here's Kim Rhodes throwing a Rob Benedict costume "piece" into the ravenous crowd!
Had a brief moment to sit for a while and admire Kim Rhodes and Briana Buckmaster happily signing autographs.
Is Crowley a bad guy or a good guy or a good bad guy or what? Mark Sheppard acts a bit like his villainous character in real life. That's an act, right?
It was a week before the election, I know it's over now but Mark Sheppard talked a lot on how he's now an American citizen and how proud he was to vote and how we should all vote. Aww...
These discussion panels are quite entertaining it's like a live interactive show you can't really watch anywhere else. Like bonus episodes of the show and you get to see favorite characters back again!
It's the highlight of Saturday, the number-3 guy on the show, the angel Castiel, Misha Collins! On the screen is listed the winners of the "ask a question" lottery. Both my friends got on the list! But one was too far back and did not get to ask his question. Still excited to have "won" though.
Here's the view waiting in the question line. My friend asked about the audition for his role as Castiel and Misha Collins had a fun story about how he blew the audition but the producer yelled at non-existent "loud" people in the hallway in order to give him another shot, to do "the exact opposite of what you just did."
I know at the beginning the rule said "no hugs" but if you act all shy and nervous while asking your question, the actors will sometimes come close and give you a hug anyway. Tried to get a better picture over everypony's heads here of Misha Collins hugging a fan.
