More From The Bike Ride

Still pictures from our first bike ride of the year! The last Saturday in May, if you can believe it. We went right from a mild warm Winter into a chilly Spring, into global lockdown mayhem, and more chilly rainy weather. But finally glad to be out and taking pictures to share.

See that family waaaaay over there? Yeah it might be a little silly to be so cautious, but we know that the bike can catch up to them quickly, and we made sure they were far enough away before we continued.

I don't remember seeing this Salt Creek Grille restaurant. I wonder if their food is... salty?

One of the buildings had STEM development classes, with lots of gadgets on shelves in the windows to see. Here's a Lego Star Wars Destroyer Droid hooked up to the Mindstorm computer interface thing. So this can be programmed to move and stuff, probably.

We got a little happy "HEY!" moment when we saw these wooden coasters on display. We have access to laser machines at work, and have done similar type coasters ourselves. Now we wonder what type of laser machines they got in there?

The schedule in the window is from a while ago, so it's likely a lot of these classes were cancelled. Want to sign up your 5-year-old in a Robotics class? That's what the schedule says they had!

Just stopping to smell the flowers. Because we remember being told that sometimes you gotta do that.

Looks like some giant left their pipe on the ground. I'm not going to be the one to tell them that smoking is bad.

Hey, if you are looking for an Ancient White Oak Tree, for y'know, making super-vampire-killing wooden stakes, I might be able to hook you up. Lemme know.

We passed a speed limit sign and had a funny thought, those are just for like, cars, right? Like, we can ride the bicycle as fast as we want?

We thought we heard the train whistle blow, and stopped here for a minute to see if we could get a picture of a train rushing past. Nope. After a few minutes we gave up. Why did we still get a picture?

They forgot to put "Dunkin' Donuts" on this sign. Are you just supposed to figure it out because it's pink and orange? Reaaally tiny it mentions the Dunkin' App. Sign fail!

Look at all of those ant colonies in this sidewalk! You think that's all the same bunch of ants, or like each a different group? I wonder if they are social distancing, too? Six millimeters apart y'all!

What kind of flowers are these? Buzzsaw Flowers? They almost look like a bunch of explosions.

We thought it would be cool to show the Rescue Squad sign advertising
Stay         Six         Feet         Apart   !

Saw a bush with some kind of Ninja Throwing Star Flowers.

Almost home, circling the nearby office complex to prolong the trip for a few more minutes, we stumble across a daycare place with some fun pony fencing. Word up, my little ponies!

There's like, a whole zen stone waiting area in the middle. Amazing how we've never know this was here, and it's so close to home.

Shhhhh! That stop sign is taking a nap.
