Marvelously Random

Whew! That was a lot of vacation pictures! During the time I was posting up those pictures, I was still taking "regular" pictures while out. So have a nice regular batch of fun things we caught.

Busted! Again! Clearly the name used on this box from a new Avengers: Endgame Lego set says "Scarlet Witch" which is a name they had not yet used in the "universe". At this point she is just Wanda Maximoff. Which is an odd continuity flub for a Marvel product, considering what a big deal it was in the Wandavision series. For example, if that really was "Scarlet Witch" instead of simply Wanda, Thanos would not have stood a chance.

In contrast, this other new Lego set gets it right. At this point in The Mandalorian, we know The Child's name, and there it is on the box: Grogu. We also know The Mandalorian's real name, at this point, too. But since he's not technically using it, it's cool to stay the same.

They don't empty the trash cans at work every day, and one time we peeked in and saw this fly trapped in a cup! It must have crawled all the way down the straw and couldn't figure out how to get back out. Crazy! We carried the cup outside and let the poor guy go. You stay away from our picnic, you hear!

Went to the Barnes and Noble and found the escape room-in-a-box kits that we did on vacation; Exit: The Game. I highly recommend picking one up and giving it a try. If you do, pay attention to the number of challenge level circles on the cover. 3 circles was a lot harder than 2.

This Chicken Taco Sandwich thing at Taco Bell is small but good. I took this picture a while ago, by the time I get around to posting this picture, you might still be able to get one.

Sigh. What have they done to you, Star Wars? This Ultimate Collector's big Lego R2-D2 set shows the iconic droid in all three movie trilogies. In the first one, he's with little Anakin Skywalker. In the original trilogy, you can see him there with Luke, of course! And in the new sequel trilogy... eh, just kind of standing there. Not with any new main cast member, just his old pal Threepio. Both of them just in the background, not doing anything.

One crazy night my upstairs neighbor decides to take a bath, and it starts raining from my ceiling! They had to cut a hole in it to fix the plumbing, so I had a hole in my bathroom for a week or so.

The story of the Cool Space Jacket continues! First seen in an episode of Buck Rodgers, then later in an episode of Lost in Space. It was only on screen for a few moments, but there it is in the Star Trek episode where they stole Spock's brain! The one in the foreground is the vest from the jacket. They tried to copy the pattern for the other guard in the back, but I can tell the real one is on the guy in the front.

Another new food picture that you might still be able to get. It's a Cheddar Sandwich from Wendy's. It's pretty cheesy. But in like, a good way. Oddly enough, it could still use some more cheese.

Any Barcelona Futbol fans? Lego has got you! Is it fair that they don't do this for every soccer team?

Those fans were a free gift if you buy this much more expensive stadium. Does that demonstrate the popularity of Lego, or Soccer? That they could make such a huge expensive set, for this one particular team, and still expect to sell enough to make it worth the effort.

Which sports team plays in this stadium? Are you not entertained?!

Just when you thought the era of equality and inclusion and fairness and all that mess... You look over and see Mickey on the number 6 and Minnie on the 5, Donald on the 4 and Daisy on the 3. Boys beat girls. And that's a Disney product, folks! If anybody would have put the girl characters on higher numbers, it would have been them!

What is the ONE THING the classic Mario enemy Lakitu is known for? He floats above, dropping Spinies from his cloud. So um, Lego... not a single Spiny in the set? Seriously?

Barnes and Noble. Clearance. Piece missing? Hahahahahaha! I suppose there might be a small chance you could call up the puzzle company and ask for the one missing piece, once you figure out which one it is.

Oh, boy! The rocks are on clearance! Are these for people who have trouble bending over? To y'know, ...pick them up off the ground? I really wanted to get some rocks, but I have trouble bending over, and now here they are on the shelf! Finally!

I might have made a comment before about a plushie Metal Mario, how contradictory it is. Perfect for you rock band though, he's so metal!

Mash! A favorite character from Fate: Grand Order. Funny how the first point they make is "Eyes full of vigor" when she has only one eye visible. The other one is, you just can't see it.

Calamity Jane will soon be added to the roster of historical characters in the Fate: Grand Order game. Knowing that, it was funny to see a quote magnet out of nowhere. Can Minty be a legend?

Spoiler alert? Action figures for the newest Ghostbusters film spotted. I always thought it was an odd thing to release figures before a movie is out, but there must be data on that kind of thing, everybody does it.

Diddy Kong on a Mario Kart. Fun fact: A different racing game called Diddy Kong Racing also exists. I guess this guy just plain likes racing.

There's been a lot of Dungeons & Dragons merchandise lately. How about... Nerf guns? I had to get that bow, it looked soooo cool! And the way you shot it by pulling the string back like a real bow? Awesome.

The artwork on the packaging is top-tier. Although it does seem a little underwhelming that he's aiming that gun while riding a dragon who looks about ready to breath fire. Obviously I'm more worried about the dragon than the tiny-in-comparison gun.

Aww! It's a little baby dragon pistol. The artwork shows a little dragon on her shoulder. Too much like Game of Thrones? Is that Daenerys Targaryen under that helmet?

Stunned at this puzzle puzzle. How? Is it possible to put this together? I suppose there must be some kind of poster that shows which numbers are where to start, but that just seems like the worst thing ever; to constantly be checking the poster for like, where the 5 is next to the 2 and all. The only positive thing I can see in this, is the incredible sense of accomplishment you'll get when it's all done.

I got a laugh out of this happy bear trying to sell something called "Scaremix". Dude, you're not even the slightest bit scary.

I watched the whole Vampire Diaries series and remember it being very consistently good all throughout. It didn't have a terrible ending, either. It's hard to recommend TV series to people these days since there's so much to watch, but I got a little smile of nostalgia when I saw this.

Not sure if this is horrible, or brilliant. There was a new place at a local mall called Pups of War. Looks like a paintball type of setup, except using Nerf guns, and it's for kids.

This arena looks a little empty, but I'm sure they put cover obstacles out to hide behind.

There are party packages. I don't feel like doing the math to figure out if it seems like it's worth such a high price. At least it seems high, without doing the math, that is. It mentions you get a pair of socks, I assume you get to keep those? Otherwise it's like bowling alley shoes extreme. Could this be a complicated scheme for selling socks?

I glanced over at this figure and thought it was the G.I. Joe villain Serpentor. Then I saw Batman. When did Batman fight Serpentor? Would it be cool to imagine Batman being a G.I. Joe member? I guess that's why you buy toys and play with 'em, because you can do that if you want. As Batman grumbles a "...Yo Joe!"
