Back with more pics and comments! Sorry for the delay, I usually like to post something at least once a week, but sometimes I slack off. Thanks for checking back.
Yarrr! Star Wars does legit space pirates with the Skeleton Crew series. It was a short number of episodes where some kids got lost on an old pirate space ship. I personally find it silly when Star Wars uses "decoding" to the droid designations; here the droid SM-33 is "named" after the Peter Pan character Mr. Smee. Get it? They used the 3s as backwards "E"s. Yeah. I know. It's kind of clever but a little... What's the word? Cringe? I did love the little space rat that had a home in it's skull-eye-hole. That part was very clever.
New figures from a retro video game? From the 1996 X-Men vs Street Fighter arcade game. Long before the Marvel movies, Thanos is completely recognizable, including the Gauntlets. Is waiting 29 years for action figures of something too long?
Captain Toad! The game Treasure Tracker was out in 2014, so only 11 years to wait for the Lego set.
This scene from the 2nd Spider-Man movie is so iconic, but we didn't have to wait to get it. This version is just a recent update. Nobody's mad at seeing it again.
Haha. I took this pic in that small window of time when the Nintendo Switch 2 launched, and sold out. I saw one on this shop-from-home-employee-getting-your-order cart, and laughed that there was no one around, and I could have swiped it! I would never really do that, but the thought was funny. Now, the Switch 2 is available in plenty of quantities.
Another epic scene done in a Lego set. Is this a spoiler? If you haven't seen the Netflix show One Piece. You might not remember seeing this is you decide to watch the show. It'll still be a good scene.
So much effort to put giant car charging stations around the apartment complex! They dug up the ground and sidewalk and everything. Is there an adapter for my phone? Let this pic be a reminder for future people to show this was a new thing at some point.
I don't know enough about Yu-Gi-Oh! to know if I should be excited to see this Harpy Lady POP! Figure. At least I can get a picture of the chase figure.
It's kinda of cute that typically kids eat cereal, so the kids in the show get cereals. I mean, they're kind of grown up at this point, but in the show, they are supposed to be kids.
Another epic show tie-in, Wendy's does Wednesday! Clever, right?! More clever is the idea that the character Wednesday tortures you by giving you a random hot sauce. The type of torture you enjoy? Just like Wednesday.
Hooo boy. You thought your job as a retail worker was safe from the robots? This is a real robot in a real store, scanning inventory. They put a cute face on the screen. I snuck a real store employee behind the robot into the picture. I think she was looking for something for another customer. I'm gunna ask the robot.
Yep. Ahhhh.... Yep.
Got a good laugh while watching this old movie, and they guy pulls out this giant military radio phone. C'mon, how can you not laugh at this? Look how big that is!
Plushies of a Waterbear and a um... Bag of Groceries? Gotta appreciate the creativity of making things that had yet to be made.
It shouldn't be worth pointing out, but it's unusual for people to get this right. Most descriptions of this fight say Obi-Wan vs. Anakin Skywalker, but the correct name here is Darth Vader. Good for them.
It was only like, a week, before the Nintendo Switch 2s were not all sold out. I guess people are quite happy playing games on their phones.
The sign over there on the Wendy's reads "Misfortune Awaits. Lucky You." Ha. It's like you can hear Wednesday speaking the words.
Is this too many Wendy's pics in one posting? Too many Wednesday? Pics of Misfortune, instead of a meal? It's bold of them to use playfully awful words for their promotion.
I had to get the meal. For the record, the Frosty counted as the "beverage" so the meal did not come with a soda. When I was done, I was still thirsty. Otherwise, it was not terribly over-priced for what you get. If it had come with a soda I might have had it more than once. There's a unique spoon involved, so that was neat.
I didn't do the research to note which flavors these were called, but I got the purple and cream colors. There was also a blood-red color and I think like, a tan? A few Wendy's locations let me try some outside the required meal, so I eventually had them all, and I think the cream one here was the best. They were all pretty good, actually.
There's a Post Office to the side here in this classic small towne, we park and walk the sidewalk over to it. Looks like the street was getting riggidy-wrecked!
It was neat watching the thing grind up the road and pour into the dumptruck. I think I was on the "good" side of the street, there was no road-dust spewing into my face.
Buh-Bye! Looks like that might be fun to do for a few minutes, before it just gets boring. They're getting paid to tear up the streets! Literally.
I was about to make a joke about this Mc-Bluff of a promotion, but Google just told me the Mets scored 5 or more runs in over 80 games this season. That's a lot of free fries! Does every Baseball team have this promotion? Could you always get free fries somewhere? What is going on here?
Check out the adorable character-themed fashion outfits! Super cute! These Disney Doorables Adoorbs! might look like random blind boxes, but there's a clear icon on the bottom of the box that matches the character. The Darth Vader has a full Head icon, it's not even subtle.
Some cool Lego Halloween sets. Um... I guess it's a little late to get excited for Halloween? Or... a lot too early?
Shin Chan! It's a roughly-drawn comedy anime. Happy to see the tons of merchandise for it. It's a really funny show. And, it's commonly thought that the English dub is actually better than the subtitled version, as the jokes are altered around the scenes instead of simple word translations.
Here's a mash-up you didn't know you needed! It's Mighty Morphin' Power Rangers, and... Godzilla! He's like a giant Zord! It makes so much sense! All the characters match up pretty perfectly, too. Amazing.
Wow. You know how so many people carry around a baggie of Cheerios? Just in case they need a little snack? Cheerios has that! Little baggies of Cheerios! How long has this been a thing? Ha! I just saw it.
It's your Birthday. Just HAVE the cake. Not the squash and carrots veggie muffin. This is just wrong.
It's a game of a game! I don't know if that's a good thing or a bad thing, they can each be equally fun, can't they? I was excited to see the little Pac-Man and Ghosts figures included. That's worth something.
