Shrinking Pictures

Let's check out some fun pictures! Sharing my thoughts to go with 'em, too.

It would be easy to take a poke at the Ant-Man and The Wasp Quantumania movie, but I thought it was okay. It was funny to notice the shrinking price. Get it? Because he has shrinking powers?

Yikes. While watching an old old Saturday Night Live episode, they had a spoof on then-senator Joseph Biden. I had to check the menu screen to see when it aired, and it was 1991! That's a long time ago!

Hahahaha! Ellio's Pizza has been around since I was a little pony. Disney makes a new movie called Elio, and it's the perfect thing to tie-in to the pizza, and they DID it!

I don't have a huge book collection, but I know someone who does. If only it was as easy to play a board game to figure out where to put them all. Funny that this is being sold in a Barnes & Noble book store.

So that's the little icon they chose. Anther moment to think about the time traveler from the past coming forward to see this parking spot, and wonder what EV ONLY means. According to the icon, do people drive around in giant toasters?

Time travelers from even further in the past wonder what "totally rad" means! Haha. Maybe today's time travelers going to the past, too. I guess you have to be from the 1980s to know.

This Playmobil set made me sad. Looks like that guy is celebrating Dia De Los Muerte with a photo of a woman he misses. It's not supposed to be a sad holiday, though. Can't you see the colorful skull?

My frind has come to peace with the fact that he sucks at all-you-can-eat pancakes. He couldn't even get 5 of these. To be fair, these pancakes at Cracker Barrel were super huge. It doesn't stop him from trying. Pancakes are tasty, even if you can't eat a ton of them.

Dueling holiday feasts. Are you having turkey or ham this year? What else can you eat? Can I get a third option for these two?

I like the concept of the Saw movies, but I'm not exactly a fan or anything. I got this picture to notice the "chase"-variant is printed right on the box, instead of being an extra sticker.

At a random mom-n-pop toy store, I saw this funny Mermaid Phone. I mean, it's cute, just a little wacky, right?

Why can they put a Disney Princess on the soup label, and it's fine. But when you put a Pokemon on it, I think it's like, Squirtle Soup? No part of me thinks it's Rapunzel Soup.

What a neat yet terrible idea for a blind-box figure set. Chess pieces. Hold on... $30 each? If you wanted a whole chess set, that's a whopping $480! Assuming you don't get any extra doubles at all! And then you need to wait for the other set, for the other side of the board. Who wants to play chess for a thousand dollars?

I have a friend who is a huge Warcraft player. I don't know who these characters are, but here's another chase version with it printed on the box instead of a sticker.

I AM a huge Star Trek fan, so it was awesome seeing these. Quark from Deep Space Nine is holding the mug from a specific episode where it sang a song when tipped on its side. It was only a quick joke, but very memorable. "Come to Quark's, Quark's is fun, Come right now, Don't walk... RUN!"

Stranger Things did a lot of merchandise cross-overs with 80's things, including the whole Target stores themselves! This whole section was full of items, so it's like theme on top of theme.

Soon Lego will have Pokemon sets out. We might want a reminder of what Mega Bloks did, not so long ago. They went on clearance last fall.

These Polly Pocket sets have cute little faces on them, so the sets are like, figures themselves. Not sure what point I was trying to make, but they are cute.

This POP! Figure points out some Hollywood movie-making flaws. Figures often have to be made before the movies release, but at some point this character's appearance changed, a lot. Also, they never once called him "The Leader" in the movie, even though that's what his name is in the comic books.

Pet people get funny stuff. Why do these both have the same paw print? Isn't one a cat, and one a dog?

I did not go, but we had some family that recently got married in Asheville, North Carolina, last summer. They don't live anywhere close to it, but they have a travel hobby and thought it was the nicest place. While watching the news, they had a graphic that agreed with the choice!

I want to make a joke where the punchline is Spider-Mana, because in Magic: The Gathering, you tap the land to get mana to cast the spells. Do they even care if it makes sense? Spider-Man is not magic, at all. But if we print him on a card, who cares? It makes perfect sense. Spidey-sense!

Elsa is clearly magic. But Disney has it's own card game. Hmm... Disney did some Spider-Man movies, will he show up in the Lorcana Card Game, too?

Hah. I'm pretty sure I did this bit before, but I had the funny thought to buy a bunch of cheap water pistols and hide them all around the house, like one of those movie characters who is secretly dangerous.

How is anything not worth at least a buck? I've bought cans of soup that cost more than that.

Wow. Cool. Greek Dressing and Lite Greek Dressing. You can clearly see the ingredients layered and now you know which parts have all the calories!

Um... What's the measurement difference between Xtra Butter and Blast O Butter?

You might think that making this "scented" is the best thing ever, and maybe it is, but wouldn't you want to chew it all the time?

Not sure if this is the best character cross-over match. Transformers Bumbleebee is usually the young rookie, while Masters of the Universe Man-at-Arms is the grizzled veteran.
