Early House Haunting

We went on a trip to the New York Renaissance Fair but in October it's the Forest of Fear! All dressed up for Halloween time, it's actually across the street from the forest usually used for the medieval stuff. Took a bunch of pictures don't be scared!

Here's the entrance. A lot of these pictures are in the dark so excuse the blurriness of some of them, maybe we need to invest in a new camera if we survive the night?

Dare you click on the "Read more?" Nothing too scary I think...

Photo-op spot like a vampire house. Our Friend is providing the creepy shadow on the wall.

Another photo-op spot had a space robot creature thing with laundry-machine-hose-arms to wrap around yourself. We were told later there was going to be a fog machine inside but it had not yet arrived.

The "Keep Out" sigh is pretty standard but Zombie Crossing? Yeah let's turn around.

We went early, the first week they were open so the lines were very short. Here's a creepy sign written in red marker or something.

Here's the house. Props to the guy greeting us with his calm southern demeanor; he was very good. Don't touch his other house guests, that's just rude.

Foggy Moon? Check!

Snack time! They must have expect Minty was going to show up because they put the most important sign big and up-front.

Cute scary guys at a gift shop called "Sales from the Crypt." They had a lot of neat stuff.

Obviously from the Renaissance Fair, we found some scented candles in another shop.

White skull pumpkins were cute.

We used the flash so we could read this tombstone in the photo, we voted it the scariest thing at the place. More mentally scary than jump-out-at-you scary.
