Buckle up because we took like a thousand pictures of museum stuff! Just kidding, but seriously there's a bunch. I'll try to post them more frequently so check back every other day or so for fresh pictures. So if you have a lunch break or some small amount of time, you can sort-of spend it in Washington DC for the next few weeks?
Our next stop was the Museum of American History! Nothing too special about this sign except to get you excited to find out what we found inside!
So click on the "Read more" below to see what we found interesting enough to photo?
This cool sculpture outside was all twisted up and would look different depending on where you took your picture from.
As Lego fans, and New York fans, we were happy to see a Lego Statue of Liberty in the lobby. If we would have know before, we would have brought a bunch of sand-green bricks to take a funny picture like there were missing pieces?
We were hungry so our first stop was the food court. There were old lunch boxes on display there!
Pulled pork sandwich and mac n' cheese! Actually pretty tasty. Sure you're paying a bunch but my friend said it kind of counted as a donation to the museum?
Right outside the food place there was a jet fighter simulator that rolled upside-down. Our friend convinced us to ride it but an empty-pocket policy meant I got to watch from the nearby locker. They rolled over many times and both got a little dizzy.
Here's some history we're interested in! Its the first video game Pong system!
Hehe the patent proposal for something we know a lot about.
OLD computers! We heard you could find dinosaurs in the museums around here!
A lot of the pop-culture "good stuff" was not open yet. This might be tempting enough to come back for later?
First Lady inauguration dresses! This was Michelle Obama's! Do you think they pick these out KNOWING they will be in a museum like, forever?
Here's Hilary Clinton's dress. recently-almost-relevant but I wonder when there is a female President, will the First Dude's suit be included in this display?
If you've seen the recent Wonder Woman movie, there's a big scene where she goes to No Man's Land. There was a big newspaper on the ground reminding us how cool that scene was. Sorry history, we are using you in movie references now?
