Skipping steps here, the dough is unrolled and the roast beef is added on top. We didn't want to over-do it with the roast beef, it was sliced pretty thin so about two layers of it.
The Swiss cheese was a perfect length and also quite thinly sliced, so each slice was folded in half and fit very well.
Scrolls all rolled up. Looks like a mess at this point but we have a small amount of experience with this so we are not too worried.
The Au Jus recipe said to warm up the Beef Broth and add the Soy Sauce. If it's too salty, add more broth. Not salty enough, add more soy sauce. Sorry we didn't measure how much soy sauce we used. If we had to guess, I'd say maybe 1/4 cup? It actually came out tasting very good! Just like we imagined.
The pink Roast Beef did cook a little. It turned brown but it wasn't burnt. Some ponies might think it was dry, but we got sauce for that!
We cooked all eight scrolls, but saved half of them for the another night. They were as magically delicious as we expected them to be.
It's not practical to get a picture of us dipping one of these, we tried for a minute but couldn't figure it out. The bowl of au jus sauce was way more than we needed for both nights. It also kept in the 'fridge and heated up just as well. Go cast some Wizard Scrolls for yourself and experience the magic!
