Picture Delivery

Your pictures have arrived! Fun comments included.

Going out to lunch and see Amazon, UPS, and Post Office trucks all at once! Ha! Welcome to modern America! I'm not doing it right, should I have ordered my lunch to be delivered to me?

Just an excuse to post fun stats about Tom Brady, who has won 7 out of the 56 Super Bowls. That's over 12%! Of all Super Bowls, ever. He played for 23 seasons and went to 10 Super Bowls, which means almost half of the time he played he got to the Super Bowl, and he wins about one out of every three seasons.

Why does this Hot Wheels car have a cool tiger on the side of it, and the letter "D"? There's no "D" in "Tiger" at all.

Es..... BUENO!
Confused but amused by the foreign language cereal boxes at a regular American Walmart. Did these go to Spanish countries, and then back to America? Where does cereal come from again?

Wandering around a shopping center, in the middle is this abandoned kiosk with a clock tower on it. It looked neat enough to get a picture of it.

Um... Why are there door knockers on the backs of these chairs? That's not a door.

Is it cool to make paper bag puppets out of... plagues? Red X through the First Born Son puppet? Seriously? That's messed up, right?

Old Lego set from 1991, unopened. $1800. This feels a little like time traveling.

$500 for the smaller set from 1995. It has the unique island-painted base plate! Can you go on a real vacation for that much?

I had to get a picture of the flap up. Back then, they had window boxes so you could see some pieces. Similar to how you see other types of toys in the packages before you buy them. Over time, Lego realized they don't really need to do that, a picture on the front of the box is good enough.

Is this some kind of contradiction? Dinosaurs had eggs, but can they be Easter eggs? Honestly, I don't know enough specifics to say if this is right or not. But here they are.

Whoa! How mind-blowing is this? Although it's likely dogs figure out what we call each other, so I bet they recognize our real names just as much as what we call them.

Nice moon. The camera still has trouble getting a picture of it. Good to know your real eyes are still better than the camera, sometimes.

Hahahahaha! Buy one get one free, and there are only two of them. Red Dagger from the Ms Marvel series and Cyclone from Black Adam movie. That's your only choice.

I'm not making any judgments about gender identity, but the Scooby Doo character Velma is traditionally female. And despite Tweety's long eye lashes, he's a boy bird. Jinkies.

I noticed there's a few bits of merchandise for the Encanto movie that say "The Madrigal House" when clearly it's its own character in the movie named Casita. It's like, the most important part of the whole movie. Is that a little disrespectful to Casita?

That's such a kid thing to do! Put Hulk fists on the front of the Hulk car! Awesome.

Awwwwww! I want some caramel bunny kisses! Cutest name for a snack ever.

They know they delivered this to an apartment, right? Sure, re-do the roofing!

Ouch. Looking down and see a ripped-in-half Captain America. As horrible as that sounds, they actually did that in the Doctor Strange, Multiverse of Madness movie. Remember? It was Scarlet Witch vs a different-universe Captain America.

$500 Lego Rivendell set from Lord of the Rings is very impressive when seen in person. I don't know if it's five hundred dollars worth of impressive, but still, very impressive.

Not sure if this picture shows it enough, but this is one ridiculously large bag of popcorn. And the package says handcrafted in small batches. That's not a small batch.

Remember that time when you played a whole game with a cool-suited space bounty hunter, defeated the final boss, escape the doomsday countdown, fly away on your ship, and then when she removes her helmet, you find out it was a girl character the whole time? That was in 1986. Samus was girl-bossing and you didn't even know it!

There's a part of the Super Mario Bros movie where they build carts, and Toad makes this huge truck. It reminded me of the Test Track coaster in Disney World, where before you ride it, you design your car to theoretically test out. Most people try and make a cool sports car, but one time we made the biggest, clunkiest car we could, and laughed the whole time we were designing it. So this little bit of the movie had a inside-joke extra bit of humor for me.

Short Round wins the Oscar! While watching the Oscars this year, I realize it's rocking very similar vibes to the Olympics. I was rooting for people and movies, and seeing them win was very much the same as watching athletes triumph at sports. I know it's a little different, but go team Everything Everywhere All At Once!

Similar to Ke Huy Quan's Short Round, Michelle Yeoh has been doing awesome movies for a long long time, and it was very happy-ing to see her win Best Actress. Tai Chi Master from 1993 is still one of my favorite movies! If you want to check that out, make sure you watch the original subtitled version. There's an English dub, but they also changed the music in key fight scenes. The original music is so much better it's worth having to read the dialogue.

I was going to try and figure out what to say about the Best Picture winner Everything Everywhere All At Once, but it's such a good movie I don't think I need to say anything. It was totally worthy of the award, and I was glad it won.

Oh, slap! One final zinger about last year's big slap, without having to specifically mention it.

This super sharp saw at a Walmart, not covered at all? That can't be safe! After I took this picture, I can now see there are others on the rack with blade covers, so this one was pulled off somehow. Still, someone should have fixed this.

Ever want to punt Hello Kitty right in the face? Of course not! But, how else are we going to play with this kick ball?
