Mooooore Toy Fair

Sorry for the delay in posts. I thought we had scheduled content to auto-post but I guess I forgot which day it stopped on... We still have a few more batches of pictures from the Toy Fair. This is a bunch we couldn't fit into any of the groups, so it's going to be a fun mix.

C'mon Jurassic Park! There's a dinosaur called Diabloceratops, and you haven't had that in a movie yet? Paint it up a nice dark red, and you'll sell a bunch of toys of that!

Does anypony use thier PC to look at this rather than a phone? If you need to, click on the "Read more" below for more pictures!

There was a Spinosaurus in the Jurassic Park movies, and it ate the guy's phone. So you could hear the ringtone when it was near. Always thought that was clever to associate the basic ringtone with the movie reference.

It didn't seem like there were any spectacular new Smurfs this year, but it's always smurfy to see them.

This Pink Dragon doesn't look very aggressive. Maybe it won't mind if I peek in the treasure chest over here.

I'm on a boat! Always fun to jump into a display for a photo. Even if it makes picking me up look like we are nabbing something from the display. It's just Minty!

Ice Griffon lookin' all cool.

Huh? Something behind me?  Is this Ice Spider not quite as creepy as a regular spider? It's because it's so chill.

Let's make this turtle more awesome. How about he's made of rock? Oh, let's put crystals growing on his back! Stand him up. Give him hands and make him look really strong! Oh oh! How about he's wielding a double-sided mace! I think that's enough guys.

Remote control cars that transform into robots! I said they transform, but they are not technically "Transformers." I mean they are, but they aren't. Hey that Jeep looks a lot like Hound...

This was a neat puzzle contraption you assemble out of wooden slab pieces. When you are done, you can turn the handle and the wings flap and it gallops. It was so low-tech but amazing.

This Wolf would chomp at Red Riding Hood eating the cupcake. It felt like these could have been made hundreds of years ago, but if they were, surely we would have heard about it and be in museums and stuff.

Games Workshop had this neat little handle you can clip to the bottom of your miniature for painting. Where was this 30 years ago, says my friend.

It might seem odd to someponies that they sell the figures blank instead of all painted up. Even without paint, you can see that there is a ton of detail on this thing.

Painting the figures yourself gives you the opportunity to make it whatever colors you want. We just noticed the tray thing looks like it locks the paint into places so they won't tip over. We didn't ask, or have the time, but they probably would let you paint one if you asked.

Here's that blank figure with paint. Did they make the falcon blue? Is that a reference to something? F-Zero?

Here's Minty trying to play some Blood Bowl. What do I have to roll to pass this thing away from me?

I think I took this picture last year but gotta give another shout-out to my friend's favorite team the Dwarf Giants. Haha the Dwarfs named their team Giants. Is that like Regular-Sized to everyone else?

These games are played competitively at hobby shops, so you can win trophies and stuff.

The new game they were showing off was called Combat Arena. That's a pretty simple name. So I guess it's some kind of.... arena, where they have... combats?

Space Marines. sooo intensely powerful soldier guys.

Here's the new game from our friends over at Tenzi. Another game which has you frantically rolling dice but then finding matching monster pictures. This one seemed like you could either be pre-matching the cards or ignoring them to see the dice. So a little cool double-attention training. We gotta say, those monsters are adorable.

Flip a coin! It's flippin' coins. This company makes coins from fictional places, and they do their best to research and make them seem as accurate as possible, for made-up currency.

Three-dimensional album cover wall art. So this is classic Ozzy Ozbourne before all the reality shows make him seem less-metal.
