Shopping Break

I figured we'd take a break from the Toy Fair pictures to show some pictures we took after the Toy Fair, when we wandered into the city to do a bit of shopping. So yeah these are going to seem like more of the same somehow, but I guess it's different? We were a little tired and the bag of catalogs from the show was heavy, but we're in the city, so lets walk around some.

We looked for them at the show, but Rilakkuma did not have a booth this year. Our heavy bag might have been a little more comfy to carry in this tote we saw. Could you imagine carrying this thing around? My friend was worried he couldn't get away with that type of fashion statement.

Yawn, didn't we just see a bunch of stuff at the Toy Fair? Click on the "Read more" to see more!

Here's one of my friend's favorite characters, he had to spend a bunch of money to get the character in the game. When I told him he could have used the money to buy a sweet figure, he said "yeah but then I wouldn't have her in the game."

In that same game, my friend also pointed out the outrageous number of character variants. And here's a figure of the example he pointed out. Not only is it the Alternate version, It's the Santa version, and the Lily version. So the fact that they make figures of such characters must mean this is a popular game.

Here's a new version of Harley Quinn. One of the coolest things about Harley Quinn is that she's not confined to only one costume, and there is tons of variety in the way she looks. But you can always tell it's her.

This wall-length picture at the Nintendo Store had all 80ish characters from the Smash Bros. game.

There was a giant statue of the practice bag from Smash Bros. If you look close, you can see where some idiot punched it. I say idiot, but honestly I felt like punching it, too.

The newest Amiibos were there in abundance. His name is King K. Rool. Get it? Krool? Like "cruel?" Haha! I get it! Sorry is that cruel of me to point it out like nopony else would have got that obvious play on words?

Princess Peach's crown and... gloves in the display case. Where's the scientist to extrapolate Peach's real-world size based on those gloves?

Here's a gun from the game Splatoon. I gotta wonder if the Super Soaker company gets anything from everypony ripping off their air pump designs? They were the first to do those, right?

Hogan's Alley shooting range can? How awesome is this? It's survived being shot at for like 35 years. 35 years? Really?

Look at me standing on Link's shoulder. I'm just going to shout "HEY! LISTEN!" and nothing else.

They still have a few exclusive Pokemon plushies at the Nintendo Store. y'know, in case you're trying to catch them all.

Aren't there like a thousand Pokemon by now? Here's Sableye dressed up as a Litwick. So now there's like a million combinations they need to make.

My friend asked if there were any new Animal Crossing plushies. I didn't know which ones were new so I just took a picture of the whole section.

I think these Kirbys were new. Doctor Kirby, Cupid Kirby, and um.. Angry-Duck-Hat Kirby?

Check it out; Jimmy Fallon signed the arm of the mannequin. You just know that's legit, because it seems like something he'd totally do without telling anybody.

This was an odd but cool thing. You think there are kids out there who are fans of "The Weather" and would want an accurate NBC Stormranger Truck? It says "Real Lifting Doppler Radar" but I bet it's not a real radar, it just really... lifts.

Pretty sure I've posted pictures of this before, but here's the 3rd dog mascot for the Today Show, Sunny. Who is being trained to be a guide dog. The previous two were Charlie and Wrangler. How's that for some random trivia answers?

Do you think you have the shoulders to pull off wearing a sleeve-less shirt? Because this American Ninja Warrior shirt would be the one you want to wear if you could.

Random item seen in a random store. Set of dish towels. The picture IS the funny comment. It's funny but also very deep if you stop to think about it.
