New York Toy Fair 2019 Video Games

More pictures from the 2019 New York Toy Fair! This group is merchandise from various video games. Remember when that used to cost you a quarter to play?

I'm going to give a special mention to http://www.pyramidamerica.com/ and the cool guys that worked the booth. You see, we don't actually have a "Press" badge, and some companies are nervous about "spies" stealing ideas. So it's always a little nervous dance when we ask if we can take pictures for our harmless blog. We had been denied pictures a few times already, and although we get plenty to post anyway it still is a little hurtful. So the Pyramid America guys almost didn't let us in, but did. And at that moment we were cheered up quite a bit by it. So here's a picture of one of the coolest things we saw at the show. And I'm not just saying that to be extra nice, this Boss Key doormat is perfect for any Zelda fan.

Ugh, sorry for all the text. click on the "Read more" for more pictures with less text.

Just in case you thought you'd never be able to enter the room, They DO also sell the Boss Key.

I don't recall the Mario Sports game that has volleyball in it. The generic Super Mario logo isn't helping.

Another fun doormat. You just know that when you enter you'll be greeted with "But our Princess is in another castle."

Here's Nendoroids from Overwatch. Overwatch is a weird thing for us because it's getting a ton of merchandise and the character designs are pretty cool and all, and we've never seen the game before. Is that terrible to admit? I feel like we have to check it out already.

Here's Mai Shiranui from King of Fighters um... 14? That's a lot of sequels. You think she could afford some pants by now?

These Kirby Nendoroids are the coolest. They use magnets for the arms and legs for maximum posing. They keep releasing them in the different colors and outfits. Beam Kirby is yellow.

Sonic The Hedgehog Nendoroid is not very different from regular Sonic. We were checking out Sora from Kingdom Hearts back there. Would that be awesome to put a Nendoroid World in Kingdom Hearts?

This Battery can hold you controller! Battery, the character, from Call of Duty: Black Ops 4.

Hey you gotta put your controller down somewhere. Might as well have a cool character like Ruin here hold it for you.

It looks like these might also include themed controllers too. We got a laugh out of Crash Bandicoot there because he looks like he's in a funny pose without the controller on him.

We kept getting blurry pictures of these Kingdom Hearts key chains. This is the most perfect thing to get a key chain of because they are also keys themselves. Might be a little pointy to put in your pocket thought.

Scream out a loud MORTAL KOMBAT! Check out Cyrax with his electro net attack. I think those Bane and Darkseid figures are from the Mortal Kombat style DC Super Heroes Injustice games.

Sub Zero wins. Fatality. Could you imagine these guys coming to life like in the Toy Story movies? Every night Sub Zero would be like "Yo, sorry Scorpion, here have your head and spine back."

Anypony recognize this view? If you think this is gratuitous, she's been striking this pose since 1993. Although in the game, she looks over her shoulder, winks, and gives you the "thumbs up" too. Like, she knows what you're looking at.

Ah, it's Cammy from Street Fighter. She usually doesn't wear her hair down like that.

Crash Bandicoot always had a cool tiki theme. You might not even think this mug was from a game if you didn't know.

The traveling group from Kingdom Hearts jump from Disney World to Disney World, and their appearance matches wherever they go. So when they go to the world of Toy Story, they look like toys. And here's some toys of that. Whoa.

Here's Sora in the Pirates of the Caribbean world. Do you think Disney would be cool enough to put him into an actual movie? There's only one answer to that question, the same answer to any Hollywood question: money.

We found our way to the arcade! These cabinets are a little expensive, but they really are very close to being actual 80's arcade cabinets right in your house. This track ball on Golden Tee just "felt" right!

I'm sure some of these people forgot they were at the Toy Fair for a while.  We did.

Check out the button configuration for Mortal Kombat II. You can't get that from any Playstation or Xbox or Nintendo controller. This game was pretty controversial in it's time for the violence, and now you can have it in your own home!

This cabinet has FOUR awesome games in it! That's me on the ship over there getting my mind blown.

The tiny desktop arcade cabinets were there, too. I don't recall seeing Elevator Action before, but it's an old favorite. It had a cool spy theme.

This Burgertime has been out for a while but we have a friend who likes it a lot so we got a picture of it.

We've not played the Bioshock games but these were very artistic figures. Was this a "King of the world" moment? We didn't realize at first either, but these are two different figures.

You should always keep some snacks in the Gauntlet backpack so whenever anypony comes up and says "Wizard needs food, badly" you can give them some.
