Thanksgiving Vacation

Are you excited for some vacation pictures? You better be, because there's a ton of them! If pictures weighed anything, this amount would crush you. What could possibly get this many pictures, you ask? Drumroll.... Disney World! So prepare yourself for lots and lots of posts full of Disney Magic. This first group is just about fun pictures of the general travelings.

First was a drive down to Virginia. The airfare was a LOT cheaper and it gave us a wonderful opportunity to do an early Thanksgiving, un-bothered by shopping mayhem and an easier time gathering the whole family together. Here we stopped right before the Chesapeake Bay Bridge-Tunnel because the sunset was making the water "glow" awesomely.

This funny photo gives us an excuse to share an East Coast travel tip. There's no food tax in Delaware, so you can save a few pennies if you eat here. This poster doesn't mention that.

In Virginia, they still had Mac Ribs. This sign made us laugh.

By the time you read this, will it already be "actual" Thanksgiving? Thanks given to the family for pulling this off. We were not the only ones very happy we did this.

Does this seem like a lot of mashed potatoes to you? Hmmm you're right, it might not be enough for all of us.

Goodbye, stuff! Thanks to Disney Magic, we'll see you next in the hotel room!

Gotta give props to this Waffle Sandwich thing at the airport Burger King. It was pretty tasty. They still had creepy Halloween bags? Or does Burger King always have creepy bags?

Southwest lets you just sit where you want, if you can. We managed a window seat for the flight down. My friend wanted an aisle seat, so there was an empty seat in the middle. We were joined by a friendly guy who works on a Tug Boat. If you're new to the Blog, welcome aboard, Tug Boat Dude!

This is the type of view that superheroes get while flying around cities. So Iron Man is like, whatever. No big deal.

Approaching the Airport in Florida and I caught the shadow of the airplane in that lake down there. See it?

Part of me wants to watch them hurl the luggage around, and then really, you just don't want to see that. Be careful with my stuff!

Disney's Magical Express makes the travelling a lot easier. The bus takes you right to the resort. No need for expensive rental cars on this type of vacation.

The Disney gift shop in the Florida airport was under construction. So no last minute gifts on the way out. But we took this picture going in.

My friend offered us $50 to run through this airport fountain but quickly rescinded the deal when it was apparent we were totally down for that.

Harry Potter wands in the airport? Sorry this was a full-Disney trip and we were not going to Universal Studios. I guess we still could have gotten a wand and told people we went there.

Airport elevator has a button for "tunnel"? That sounds like a evil villain lair thing.

Off of the airplane, which has seatbelts but probably doesn't really need them, and on to the bus... which doesn't have seatbelts but probably really needs them.
I feel I should mention that the Disney bus we took on the way back to the airport DID indeed have seatbelts, and none of the passengers (except us) used them.

On the way to Disney, we spotted the big train station hub they are building. How are trains still a thing when airplanes are cheaper AND faster?

The buses are travelling fast but BAM! We got the picture. We're HERE! AHHHHHHH!

Later that night the luggage finally caught up to us. How was your trip?

My friend brought breakfast snacks. AND THAT'S THE BOTTOM LINE! 'CAUSE STONE COLD POP TART SAID SO!

To really put a "date" on the trip, we noticed Disney was right on top of the bus banners because this was the first day of Disney+ and already this ad said Star Wars: The Mandalorian "streaming now".

TIME SKIP! Haha this is us waiting for the bus to take us back home. Don't worry there's plenty of Disney World pictures to come.

Funny plushies in the NASA gift shop in the airport. You might remember we are fans of the "Space Monkey" so that one was tempting but we passed since we didn't actually see any NASA stuff on this trip.

Saw this special Harry Potter wand  in the airport gift shop, so grabbed a picture so we could check it out later and maybe research who's wand this is.

Ugh. Full flight on the way back, had to take an aisle seat. It was a rainy day but it was fun to see the sun once we rose above the clouds. It quickly became night time so there wasn't too much to have been seen out of a window anyway.

One last fun picture we got for the ride back to New Jersey. This is at a Royal Farms about 6 miles south of the Stuckey's. It's another giant chicken statue! The original giant chicken sign, further south, is still there, if you were worried. Stay tuned for plenty of pictures of fun Disney Adventures!
