Careful Quote

Back again with more random pictures! You have been warned!

I first read this quote on this sign... and thought it was pretty neat, but after thinking about it for a minute, I was thinking... Change us... How exactly? I like me! And I realize, I'm in the middle of a book store, with books all around me threatening to change me. AHHH!! Do I want to buy any books at all?! Wait... you are reading these words... Is Minty changing... YOU!? AHHH! Anyway, it seemed like a neat quote but also a little terrifying.

Back to some silly stuff. Game of Thrones POP! Figure with Daenerys slumped over in front of the Iron Throne. I know it's a package mess-up where she's supposed to be sitting in the throne, but I saw it and thought... yeah, that's about right.

Can you call pre-crushed ice cube bits "crushed ice" if you don't actually crush them? How about just "tiny ice cubes"? Now that I think about it, most ice cubes are not actually cubes, but rectanglulars. We don't call them Ice Rectangulars. I'm such a nerd sometimes. Also in this picture, extra cool points for those shot glasses shaped like classic red Solo Cups. Can they get away with that? I guess they did.

My Dad's Cookies are better than Your Dad's Cookies. I guess that's why they don't have Your Dad's Cookies in this store anywhere.

I know it's very low-level humor, but I couldn't help but get a big laugh out of Unicorn Cupcakes that are "Nut Free!" I guess they are all girl unicorn cupcakes, hahahaha.

Is this package describing everybody these days? How many faces do you miss? I don't really understand the intent here, are you supposed to give this to someone you miss,... how? If you've given it to them, you're not missing them anymore. I should move on, this picture is starting to depress me.

Would you please pass the jelly?! [shocked rich snobs around the table faint] A few of you might recall they did a bit about this on Family Guy where they stop the show to explain the old commercial based on that bit.

They tore down this old building my friend had a fun story about. When he first moved to New Jersey he googled-up a compatible ATM, so he could deposit checks into his bank, and it directed him to this building. Well... turns out it was an office building and there was Security Guards who had to buzz him through a door, and escorted him to an employee-only ATM machine. The experience felt like some kind of heist movie and the whole thing was super awkward and memorable, and now the building is gone, but at least he had a chance to tell the story.

I feel I have to talk about this IPhone commercial. It's got very annoying jazzy-scat a cappella music and this poor woman is juggling her phone trying not to drop it on the sidewalk, when it leaps out of her hands. Slow motion through the air.. Oh!.. are they really going to show this phone hit the sidewalk and be okay?!! I'm a little excited and awe-struck! Make sure you see that Apple Logo! WOW! This will sell tons of phones if it can survive that type of drop! So much slow motion/intense music tension! AAAGH! This will be EPIC!

Aaaaand NOPE! Somehow this city street has... sand (?!) where the phone lands pretty much flat. And the whole thing feels like a big "AH HAAA!!! ...Gotcha!" It's only... scratch resistant... or something. In dirt. You didn't really think we'd show a phone hit the street did you? What are we, crazy? No phone could survive that.

Banjo and Kazooie! Video game legends! If you don't know who they are, go find some Jiggys! Just going to take an opportunity to point out the high quality of Nintendo's Amiibo figures. Almost all of them look amazingly perfect in every way.

Hot Wheels: He-Man gets a Mercedes Benz Unimog U1300L truck that Google says cost $250,000, while Teela gets a "Bread Box" car that Google says is based on a Jeep FJ-3 Fleetvan from 1961 and probably cost pennys to the dollar next to He-Man's truck. No way did they even think about doing this on purpose, obviously they just wanted cars with large areas they could put pictures on. But isn't it easy to think they did, and get upset about it? This is not on purpose, right Hot Wheels?

Saw an Easter candy-pretzel kit, and remembered we had a lot of fun with the one we got for Halloween. But this one doesn't have any sprinkles. Oh well, we can get the sprinkles separately. Wait a minute, this has the candy wafers and pretzels, can't we just get them separately, too? We passed on it, thinking we can probably just assemble a kit ourselves.

Remember Choose Your Own Adventure books?! Saw these in the hobby store and thought that Mata Hari might not be a subject suitable for kids. She was an exotic dancer-possible spy, right? Who seduced enemies and got them to give her information, right? Kind of made me curious to read it to find out. For research purposes hahaha.

My friend has fond memories of the long nights he spent playing Battletech with his friends. This Clan Invasion setting was a thing they did. It's like a really detailed board game with role playing game characters. 2's to miss!

This is neat, it's clever dice that are shaped like... stuff. There might be rule-players that insist on using standard dice, but this looked like a fun alternative. That lock-pick "die" has you spin the pick and you can see a number through the lock!

Rugrats Hot Wheels. The extra-funny thing here is that Tommy car is a Dump Truck, and the back of it is clearly supposed to be a diaper. Which is full of brown... stuff. So it's literally a full diaper. GROSS! And funny.

This vast empty area in the Walmart was strange enough to take a picture of. Did they move everything out of the way to clean the floor?

Hmm... a video game where you make food and then take pictures of it. I guess I take pictures of food sometimes, too. It just struck us as funny. Check me out, taking a picture of this lady taking a picture.

I think I might have been part of a social experiment or on a hidden camera show. When we went to the art store to check out how much a bag of the candy wafers are, y'know for the pretzel things, the scanner just froze on the "Searching" screen for like... ever. How long do we wait like idiots staring at this thing? We must have waited for 4 or 5 solid minutes before we walked away. We never found out the price.

I orginally wanted to get a picture of these minty green sprinkle bits, but look at the other bag with the blue ones. Is that from Breaking Bad?

How would you play Uno using Hot Wheels cars? Yeah... there are how many cards in an Uno deck? Are you crazy? I'm not collecting all those cars!
