The Odds

Another roll of film from shopping and stuff. We're like, exploring the shops, I guess.

Never tell me the odds! Star Wars Story Cubes. Grab some and see what kind of adventures you can roll up, may The Force be with you, you 'ole space pirate!

Hmmm... Little boxing Irish leprechauns. I was looking at these thinking... is this a cool thing to stereotype, or maybe I'm being too sensitive.

Didn't we all grow up on "The Streets" then? They need a homeless muppet named "Sesame" and then boom! It's all about Sesame's Street.

I've got a friend who I remember got a big laugh out of some Saturday Night Live skits featuring an old Lawrence Welk show and the Maharelle sisters. Of the four sisters, one named Dooneese, played by Kristen Wiig, was obviously in contrast with the others, including her tiny hands. That's a pretty long explanation for why I found these tiny hands so funny. That's more than enough information for you to google the sketches, I found the info with just SNL and Tiny Hands.

Memories are strange. My friend has fond memories of buying one of these Arizona Sweet Teas in the dollar store and sipping on it all Friday Night while watching shows. But at the same time he gets really sad thinking about it. So it's both happy and sad? Maybe we shouldn't have taken this picture... But... there is some fondness here.

Seeing these tiny Pace Picante jars cheered him up a little. It's just like the bigger ones you find in a normal store, except this is the Dollar Store, so the jars are smaller for only $1. Funny that the jars are the same shape and all.

In the KFC drive thru and this lady gets out of her car and hands a bag of something to the people inside. Maybe cosmetics or something? That's cool but how about not during lunchtime. She waited a while, and they handed her several buckets of chicken she placed in her back seat. So maybe she's catering a party? Just an odd long show we had to sit through one day.

This was only two jalapenos we chopped up, it covered the whole French bread pizza. I can take some silly pictures every once in a while.

You see it? Past them trees.... I seeeeee you.

It was the last day of March. You think you can only get Shamrock Shakes until St. Patrick's Day, but McDonald's technically keeps them until the end of the month. Why did we get two of them....?

Into the future you go!  Double-covered with aluminum foil and in a zip locked bag. The internet said you can do this, so why not try it? A gift to future me from past me. I'm eager to see how this experiment plays out, but I have to wait a while to find out.

Wow. An actual "Toy Story" moment in real life. We came home from work one day to find this bin of plushies spilled out onto the bed. Just like in the movie where they toys would be all doing stuff and then slump lifeless to the floor before they were caught.

The mind-blowing part is that bin was way up there in the corner on top of those other bins. Are we to believe that it slid down those other boxes, onto the bed, where it rolled over and popped open the latch, all by itself? Sherlock Holmes said that when you remove all other possibilities, whatever remains, however improbable, must be the solution. It's a very long way away from that corner, but there was no other evidence that anybody was in here to mess with anything. And yeah, it's a little embarrassing how messy that one corner of the room is.

Thanks, my chum! Get some fresh kicks from... Kicks, in Animal Crossing.

Came home one day to find this big junk next to the apartment. Did somebody get an upgrade?

When you see junk like this, do you wonder if you can use it for something? Or... just please haul this mess away already. Surely this will be quiet affair right outside the place when they take it away.

Is that supposed to be cute or something? It's like... a warning, right?

In one of those Homegoods stores and see this table tray thing with... questionable-themed buildings on it. Are those buildings practicing safe... y'know, nevermind. There might be kids reading this. Those are just happy buildings, kids.

Yikes! I hope that's not my Teacher. Somehow "Queen" and "Boss" don't seem like they go together with "Teacher". Like, Teachers are supposed to be nicer than Queens and Bosses, right? Not this one!

We recognized the K.K. Slider Rock Album cover on this hoodie. I'll point out again that K.K. Slider is the mucisian from Animal Crossing and in the game he gives you his music for free, and he thinks that all music should be free. Hoodies however...

Speaking about Animal Crossing, and music... We see this portable record player in the store and laugh because there's an exact item like it in Animal Crossing. We have one on the beach playing surfing music next to the surfboard. We grabbed a picture because we wanted to make sure we remembered it correctly.

Yup! There it is in the shop. Nearly identical right down to the white handle and text on the inside of the lid. Probably shouldn't be too surprised since y'know... the game has a lot of real-ish items in it. But it struck us as funny that day.
