Who's wearing green today? Pictures with fun comments.
I know this is way past the time for St. Patrick's Day, but I'm going to take this opportunity to point out something a little obvious. As a mint-colored pony, I am immune to the pinching-traditions on that particular holiday. Did they make this sign just for me?
The Empire State Building Strikes Back. Is it cool, or lame, that they had a Star Wars thing inside the Empire State Building? C'mon, it's cool.
As a Star Wars fan, I always get an extra smile when my lunch accidentally gives the order to eradicate the Jedi. Ooops! Order 66 anybody? The Emperor did not give the order, it was The Burger King!
A plushie of 3-D glasses? Do kids these days even know what these are? 3-D glasses these days look like regular tinted glasses, not this red/blue style.
This style of Disney figure had previously come in packages with many other figures, like a dozen or so. If only there was a way to get just the couple of 'em you wanted, without having to spend a ton on the rest of the ones in the set? Five Below has the answer!
The dinosaurs in this set were so adorable, I just had to get a picture to share. Is there some kind of Mickey Mouse show with cute dinosaurs that I don't know about?
Do you think the Cup Noodles people are upset that when people rip-off their product, they add an "OF" to it? For example, this should say "Cup Slime" for a proper rip-off.
Ah, kids. As a grown-up, I have to wonder if kids really do like poop jokes. I mean, they keep making poop toys, why else would they keep making this stuff? The pun-ny names are at least funny.
I know the Hello Kitty character Kuromi looks like she's trying to be naughty, do you think she's going to trip you on her side of the jump rope?
I tried out the Darth Vader Bop-It! toy in the store. I thought it was cool that when I got bored and messed-up on purpose, the voice recording said "Careful you don't choke on your aspirations" which is a line from the new-ish movie Rogue One. Usually the toys only quote the original three movies.
See? I can resist easy bargains. I passed on this Triceratops Nerf gun, even if it was only $5 on clearance. Sometimes you have to understand that you don't have infinite space available to store collectibles. As cool as this is, it's just too big.
Another toy for kids, based on something kids don't have any idea about. We are getting to the point where the kids are not only asking their parents about these things, but maybe even the grandparents. Grandpa, what's a boombox?
I blanked-out the name and address, but that's kind of the thing I wanted to point out with this picture. When you get mail address to "Blank-ity Blank, or Current Resident" they are telling you the name of someone who lived at your address before you did. Which is kind of fun, I guess.
There was a car parked in this spot for like... forever. And they finally put the fluorescent sticker on it that said "move it, or we will" and then it was gone. You can see where the dirt piled around the tires, and where the rain storms and wind put all the mud and twigs. So this is a neat picture. That required a car parked here for a looooong time.
Dude! Get over to the TSC Tractor Suppy Co.! The sign says they got chicks in there! Bro! You gotta go!
I miss going to the Toy Fair to check out things like this. But when I see random cool toys I still like to grab pictures of 'em. Like these wooden toy cars with a lot of charm to them.
Aww! These lock plushies are locked together. They look happy about it.
The Street Fighter character Akuma was "created" by an editor at a video game magazine, when they doctored a screen shot for an April Fool's Day prank showing Ryu and Ken's master Sheng Long. Not only did they add that character to the game; here's that character in a movie! Do you think the person working at Electronic Gaming Monthly got any credit for this?
Somebody at Zuru reeeeaaaaalllyyy likes KFC. Can you see the conference room pitch for this? Hey yo, we HAVE to make a whole set with KFC!
Neat! They made "regular" Transformers versions of characters from shows with vert cartoon-y visuals. I suppose if you've never seen those shows, you can't really appreciate this.
They opened up a Checkers near us! Some of you might know this place as Rally's.
The fries at Checkers are so good, they offer a burger with the fries IN the burger already.
This crazy anime car must belong to an employee at this Walmart. It can't be this much of a coincidence that I've seen it here a lot, in the parking lot.
Even ducks like to shop at Walmart! This one was hanging around near the entrance. There's a lake nearby, so it's not surprising it wandered over here. It seems surprisingly calm about the whole thing, however.
Remember this epic scene from The Mandalorian? I won't spoil it for you if you haven't seen it. But it was good. See? There is good Star Wars among the modern shows.
Hey! It's Burrow Bunny! It's like running into an old friend from work. Like, the plushie version of that. We used to embroider t-shirts for these bunnies.
Why are there dinosaurs on this Easter jump rope? Is it because they laid eggs? Sorry, dinosaurs, but Easter did not exist when you um... existed.
Awwww yeah. patience pays off again. There's always extra Cadbury Creme Eggs to be had a half-price.
Who was the calendar idiot that put World Autism Awareness Day right after April Fool's Day? Did they just feel bad they fooled too many autistic people and were like "So sorry! We didn't know! Here, have your own day! We need to be more aware now!"
