Picture Learning

101 Things I learned from... taking pictures.

This Matthew Frederick guy's book series originally struck me a "that guy went to a ton of schools!" but if you look closer, almost all of them acknowledge another person. Except for... Architecture School. Did one of the things he learn in Architecture School include writing book series about the 101 things you learned in a school? That seems like something you'd learn there, I say sarcastically. Where's the book about Book School? Surely he went there.

It's been a long time since I've seen any new South Park episodes, but this plushie of AWESOME-O reminded me how funny that show was. Cartman totally believed everyone else thought he was a legit robot. Hilarious.

Ouch. "I Love You" is on clearance sale. No hidden message there, I hope.

Here's the monument near the fountain in Princeton. I've been here a lot, but I looked up this time and thought... Who's going to read that text all the way up there? Silly, right?

Fate: Grand Order poster at the Five Below, of all places. Does that mean the game is gaining popularity? I've only been playing it for years now. It's about time.

I thought I could come up with a funny caption for this "Let's Go Fast" Sonic the Hedgehog quote, but I'm drawing a blank. Maybe I need to slow it down some.

Adorable little easel painting of an adorable little cow. Exponentially adorable.

Um... do they still get paid? I think this sign would confuse me if I worked at the Ollie's, you mean... it's okay if I sleep? The... The sign! It says I can.

Assassin's Creed is going to murder your wallet! Stab! Right in the booster pack money. Magic: The Assassin-ing.

Kono Suba! Nice to see the show on the ad for CrunchyRoll. The show revolves around a guy who winds up trapped in a world based on classic role playing video games. So there's all kinds of funny bits, since he's aware it's like a game.

Awwwwww snap. The $5 McDonald's McDouble Meal. I want to praise them so much. But it was only a few years ago when Burger King had Whopper Wednesday and you could get a full-sized Whopper combo for only $5. What happened over the last few years?! Anyway, right now, it seems like this is a good deal.

If the tiny, yet somehow a good deal, meal for $5 is shocking for the modern era, this one will hit hard, too. THIS is the McDonald's "playroom" which is NOT a giant pool of balls and maze to crawl through. It's a bunch of... screens. Yes, this is a real picture from a real McDonald's.

Bu-but the table has many games! Yeah. Shame on McDonald's for caving in like a frustrated parent. It's no use arguing, just let the kid have the screen. Even at McDonald's. Sigh.

Cute! Apples to Apples Junior with super small cards at the dollar store. Is it "junior" because of the small cards?

Another case of "poor Megatron" they just don't know what else to transform that guy into since "gun" is off the table. How about... dragon this time? Also, how cool of a name is "Skyquake"?! Like earthquake, but he's a jet. It makes no sense, but it's still awesome.

Another pic that doesn't make any sense, but is somehow awesome. It's like a cat in a mushroom costume? Don't analyze it, it's cute.

I know people like this. A few of them, actually. I'm not implying that's a bad thing. More cats does seem better to some people.

I feel like this sign is using the word "Snowflakes" as a derogatory term. If nobody notices, I guess that's how it wound up in a store. Am I the snowflake since I noticed?

I wonder now, if these are AI generated images. They could be. Would it matter if they were? If you don't know, there's a thing where you can type a prompt like "Impressionism painting of a human raccoon in a blue old time suit" and in just a small moment, the computer "creates" that picture for you.

Now this doesn't need to be artificial intelligence, but also seems like you don't need to buy it. Can't you do this yourself? Wouldn't that "mean more" if you did, with the "I Love You" message and all. I just feels like it's lazy and insincere to simply buy this, but I guess it's still a small amount of sincerity. You did choose to buy it, after all.

My mind is blown at how cool this would have been to have as a kid. It's a mold you pour glue in to harden into a character. You can mix and match the molds? It's like a random booster pack? This is hitting all sorts of buttons for me to like it.

Um... What? Did you see it? It says in large letters "Gluten-Free!" yet in the smaller text it specifies it's non-toxic, and then right after that... it should not be eaten. So WHY do you need to specify "Gluten Free"?? Isn't that just for eating purposes? I'm so confused.

On the way into the mall, boom, power goes out. Only for like, half the mall. Some stores had power, and some didn't. The Lego Store had shut the doors before we got over to check. No power.

It's all dim and quiet and creepy in the food court. I wonder if they just gave away food, since it might spoil or whatever. I didn't ask, we had just ate lunch before we went to the mall.

Here's the fun "power out at the mall" picture of me on the frozen escalator. Otherwise this picture would have been a lot harder to do, with the escalator running and all.

Looks like this flower is ready to explode! Do I need to research what type of flower this is, so I can see what it does? What an unexpected cool thing, to be curious about a flower I walked past.

Can it be both Electric... and... Paper airplane? Hmmm....

Richard Scarry's Busy World. Fake tattoos. Should we be encouraging kids to get tattoos? If you are a grown up who wants a Busy World tattoo, just get one. Leave the kids out of it, for now.

I wonder if they really had a Waldo guy hanging around that day? You know that guy wears the same thing for Halloween, probably.

Another ancient book for only $400. I feel like I don't know what ancient books are worth. This seems low to me.

Oddly enough, it made me feel good to see the grocery section empty like this. Remember that power outage? They care enough about the customers to take the big loss and throw it all away, rather than.... woooopsie eh, it's probably still good, let's sell it anyway. Even though the original plan was to get some groceries on the way home, it was okay.

I'm in Animal Crossing! While letting a bug out, that we had jar'd in the house, we looked over and noticed a butterfly nearby... and got it! After a picture or two, we let it back out.

Ha! Old kid's meal toys in the claw machine. You know, kid's meals are a bit of a claw machine themselves, since you often get a random toy when you order it. This thing doesn't come with a meal.

Kites at the flea market! Do I have to say I took these pictures in the summer? It might be too cold right now to do kites.

A funny landscape of doggies. Welcome to the flea market! I didn't plan on taking a ton of pictures this time, but you get to see fun stuff like this at a flea market.

Check out the random free Lego bricks on the ground. I did not pick them up. Maybe I should have?

This pic might not be too clear on how dark it was, but dark clouds were gathering. Weren't we just at a rainy flea market? That was a different one.

Those are the logo things on cars. So many cars! Look at them all! Each one was in it's own car at some point.

Oh yeah. I switch to an ominous voice tone... it's gunna rain.

This flea market has a dirt field you have to park in. Not the type of thing you want to get stuck in, if it gets all drenched. It would probably take a lot of rain to get you stuck, but we're not taking any chances.
