Random Prices

Whoops! I usually like to post something at least once a week, does this make me a slacker? D'oh! Thanks for checking back on me. Have some pictures on discount! Comments for free.

Busted! Someone at Barnes & Noble left the clearance stickers unattended. I'm only a buck! This provided a fun bit of daydreaming about how I could save a ton of money, but realistically I'm not the type of person to put a $1 sticker on say... that $200 Lego set, and scream my head off at customer service to try and make them honor the sticker. To me that sounds ridiculous, but there's a few people out there who might give that a try, if they had the chance.

I don't know what it was about these little robots that I thought was really cool. So I got the picture to try and figure it out. Do they look kinda cool to you, too? You don't need to have a brand name, or movie or show or anything, to have a cool toy. At least, I don't think these are from anything.

There's a show on MeTV where collectors show off their stuff and experts say how much it's worth. My friend had some of these Robo Force robots when he was growing up. Looks like a complete set of them is worth a whopping $10,000 now!

This Lego set with only 66 pieces is on clearance for only $27! If you are reading this in the distant future, it might not sound so bad. But this picture was taken in 2024 and that's a lot of money for such a small set. Um... Lego?

At the convention, Futurama's Dr. Zoidberg grabbed the action figure package, ripped it open, and started sucking on it. The vendor snatched it away and asked "What are you doing?!" to which Zoidberg replied "Awww... The sign said there was a mint in the box..." [nearby sign says "Mint in Box Figures"]

Pokémon pop quiz! Name the types of Pokeballs in the set! To be honest, those are easy ones, they could have done a lot harder ones to name, if they wanted to.

It's neat that they made seemingly random Dungeons & Dragons action figure characters back in the 80's, yet some of them have become icons anyway. Warduke looks like a mess of character design, but it "works" somehow.

Do I need to explain Badgey again? From Star Trek: Lower Decks, the funny cartoon series. I won't spoil it for you if you haven't seen it yet, although seeing a happy version and "evil" version might be a spoiler anyway.

Cowabunga! The Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtle Van transforms into a robot um... turtle. Where was this back in the 80's when it would have been even more mind-blowing?

The Transformer comes with colored head pieces and weapons for all four TMNT characters! So you don't have to buy four of them. Unless, you WANT to buy four of them. Your choice. Just one for your favorite, or do you need the whole team?

My friend had to look up the original name for this, but this is a re-color of the Cobra Ferret. Made bigger for the modern larger G. I. Joe figures. He had one and it was like, a favorite, or just one he used a lot, or whatever. If this was the regular Cobra dark blue with red attachments, he might have picked up the new version.

Look! I caught a Fwaggle! I cought a Fwaggle! Seems like a lot of 80's pictures this time.

It's never too early to teach your child about alien abductions. What is it going to do with that cow?

They already have a regular version of Roadblock, but I haven't seen Tripwire yet, here in wacky Tiger Force colors. When my friend was a kid, he thought landmines were cool, but now that he's grown up... yeah. Landmines are pretty crazy. You do remember exactly where you put them, right?

This giant plushie had weighted arms, and you put them over your shoulders, and... it "hugs" you. It was actually amazing. It's silly to say that, but it works.

Target in your pocket? Your Polly Pocket, that is. That dog is suuuuper tiny!

Is The Simpsons popular enough again to get new action figures? My friend gets an odd sense of peace about this show. No matter what else is going on in the world, you can always relax with a new episode of The Simpsons on a Sunday night.

Yay! "Background" characters from a Star Wars thing! These droids are from Peli Motto's hangar bay on Tatooine. They did have a figure of the mechanic woman, Peli Motto, right? No? D'oh! Who's in charge of making figures over there?

More "Boooooooo"s from the action figure team. In the episode, they make a point to show the scorch marks around the top of R5-D4's head. That's how you KNOW it's the droid that (purposefully) "blew it's motivator" in the very first Star Wars movie, so that R2-D2 and C-3PO could stay together. Remember that? The action figure people didn't. They forgot the scorch marks.

AHHH! My head is on fire! Thanks, Burger King! They did hot sauce things last summer, which wasn't too hot, but we might not be a good judge of that since we are used to hot sauces. Your experience might be different.

What an amazing mind-blowing thing, to release a retro-contest version of the old games. Did you want to be a champion? Now you can find out.

Sometimes you feel like you look at something and need the explanation? It might look like it's Red White & Blue, but Zelena Vega has the Puerto Rico flag, and Mr. America was Hulk Hogan "in disguise" hahaha.

Sigh. I'm not going to explain this show. Your best outcome is to take these Star Wars: Acolyte action figures, and create your own original story about them. There is almost no chance, that whatever story you come up with, will be worse than the show. You can only do better. The show was so bad, Disney themselves ditched it, and will not finish up the story they left off in the middle of.

Good grief! The Great Pumpkin is so iconic that everybody remembers the story. How do we not have people ironically waiting in pumpkin patches on Halloween? Just to be funny? I feel like that should be a thing, but nobody does it.

Do I need a frickin' joke about this frickin' Frick Lab building in Princeton? What kind of chemistry are they doing here?

This was from a summer bike ride. Those people over there playing live music next to the fountain we usually ride past. I think we'll go around this time.

The bells to the right over there in front of this church ding every hour. But it's not like, 3 dings at 3pm, or even 15. It's like a ton of random dings. Do I not know the pattern? Is there supposed to be a pattern?

I was watching one of The Hulk movies, the MCU one but the one with Edward Norton as Bruce Banner. Parts of the movie were filmed in Princeton, and I think I recognized this house from where we ride our bike. So I got a picture to try and find where it was next time I'm out there. Is that a silly thing to do?

The. Perfect. Xmas. Ornament. I don't even need to say "You get one guess; which song does it play when you push the button?"

Why did you name your kid "Karen"? Can I speak to your manager?
