Park Munches

I saved the best for last! This is the final group of pictures from the Disney World vacation. This is all the yummy stuff we ate! I already posted pictures of the Star Wars foods and the best place ever: The Trail's End, this is the rest of the meals. I knew it would be nice to reminisce about the food, everything we ate there was super scrumptious without exception. Forget about prices or calories for a week. Totally worth it.

Ah the simple Mickey Ice Cream Bar. You know you can buy these at regular grocery stores now? I'm pretty sure these are magically better while in the parks. Also, make sure to keep hydrated all day.

Lunch at Pecos Bill Tall Tale Inn & Cafe in the Magic Kingdom. It's a relatively simple place to eat because the food is served rather plain, and you get a massive fixin's bar to add all the extra stuff. Why didn't I get a picture of the fixin's bar?

Pork Nachos smothered in cheese, with extra shredded cheese on the side. These are "selfish" pictures because we can remember the tastes, while you might not get the same effects by just looking at them.

We waited in line for this snack place Sleepy Hollow Refreshments, and saw them frying dough through the window. It was a little chilly this day, it looked nice and toasty in there. Did they serve toast? I don't think so.

This churro ice cream sandwich was amazing. We had to wander around for several agonizing minutes to find a place to sit down to eat it, the park was so busy that day. We finally asked a Cast Member and they suggested the "hidden secret" Columbia Harbour House. Which is a restaurant but usually has open tables if you sneak in.

Ate dinner in the Magic Kingdom at Cosmic Ray's Starlight Cafe. This place is massive! It must be very difficult making sure the food places are big enough for the amount of people that will eat there. That's a sort of math I don't want to think about. I'm glad there are other people to do that.

The lines were pretty long so we decided to try a "Mobile Order" done on the phone app. Zippity-zip the order was placed and even though it still took them a few minutes to get the order ready, we are certain we saved a ton of time.

Remember I said "forget about calories" earlier? This burger has mac n' cheese and bacon and for lack of a better term, "Cheetos dust" on it. Top it off with a happy Mickey burnt into the bun?! Yep. This is vacationing at it's finest.

This expedition eatery in the Animal Kingdom is called Restaurant-osaurus near all of the dinosaur stuff. Check out those zombie apocalypse seats on the roof. Gotta keep an eye out for stray walkers. I think the idea here was to look out for dinosaurs, not zombies.

We did not get a Bugs 'n Grubs Cupcake, but should have. At least we got the picture to remind us for next time.

Instead we got this enormous grilled chicken sandwich. Might have been the biggest chicken sandwich I've ever had. Seriously, you sure this isn't some kind of dinosaur-sized chicken?

Dinner was at the Flame Tree Barbecue; Mac n' cheese with pulled pork, coleslaw, and a couple of the best onion rings ever. Looking at this picture, the portion size looks a little small but I remember this was a filling meal. Did I mention before that everything we ate everywhere tasted fantastic?

The next day at Epcot, an early dinner reservation left us in need of a quick and simple lunch. Perfect opportunity for something my friend had been looking forward to since we planned this vacation months ago! Destination: France!

I guess the French name is Croissant Jambon Fromage. This Ham n Cheese Croissant is among my friend's favorite things here.

We even splurged on the fresh baked cookie. What kind of sorcery is this? How does this cookie get baked, but those cubes of chocolate remain cube-shaped? Wouldn't they melt into little blobs?

Funny situation occurred as we were trying to get a picture of this plastic straw, and strangers were trying to rush us off the table. They were visibly annoyed I was taking a picture of a... straw? Ugh. Haha it was fun to notice this was the first place all week without those "paper" straws, and we wanted to get a picture of the plastic straw to point it out. But those people were hangy! To quote the movie Ratatouille "Excuse us, we don't mean to be rude, but we're French."

If you missed the story earlier, we ran all around the world to make it on time for our diner reservation at Via Napoli. If you are going to have some pizza, go to Italy!

We made it here in time, but well ahead of our friend who just had knee surgery and was moving at a slower pace. It was good physical therapy for him to get moving on it, but for sure it was okay that he took a few more minutes to get here.

Ah, relaxing in Italy. I guess I took a few pictures while I waited. Epcot has like, a cool place to eat in nearly every country. While it was food and wine festival going on outside, and the park was mega-packed, the restaurants were not really crowded.

This was a 10" hand-tossed pizza. I'm not sure what kind of rulers they have in Italy, but this was a lot bigger than ten inches. Check out the little curled-up pepperoni slices. I know "New York Pizza" and honestly this is equally good. Yes that's high praise.

Excellent beef nachos from the Coronado Springs hotel the morning before the flight back. I guess I took these home with me. Haha gross. Sorry about that imagery, it's a joke! Just trying to be funny!
