Hot Pictures

Playing catch-up with all of the random pictures I took while waiting for the new laptop to arrive. I'm typing all of these captions in advance so maybe there will be some stuff that's a little less-relevant when you read this.

For example: here's another picture of McDonald's Spicy Nuggets. I was going to comment about how good they are and the sauce is genuinely spicy, but I think they've already stopped selling these. Hope you got some while you could!

Saw this Ewok, and it's always cool to read the descriptions of the random background characters to check what their special thing was. I photo-cropped it for you, it says he was the guy blowing the horn to initiate the battle. Cool! Um, you think maybe they could have included THE HORN with this figure then?

Random news story in 2020 about Lego soon updating the packaging inside the boxes to paper bags instead of plastic. The story is accompanied by generic Lego factory clips and we laughed when we saw this particular minifig torso. We knew that character was only in like, one set and we looked it up, it was from 2012! Eh, nobody else watching noticed or cared about them using such old stock footage.

We laughed when we saw the Walmart updated the lone tape-barrier that people, us included, just walked over. Another Covid-era picture, to show how Walmart was trying to direct the line queue outside. This has already been taken down.

When the Toilet Paper Shortage hit back in April, we had, luckily, one week before the disappearance, bought "the big pack", and we finally went through it. In the beginning we thought it would be a good idea to track our usage, for nerdy statistical purposes, and maybe to gauge our panic level if we started to run out, to know about how long our supply would last. It's creepy how um... consistent... this turned out. For the record, this is regular non-conservative usage including using some to clean up the bathroom mirrors and stuff, an occasion nose-blowing, and that kind of thing, too. While it might make you laugh that we did this, I bet part of you wants to do this, too.

Another Ewok? This Wicket figure comes with an extra hood... Is that the one he wore in the cartoon series? I think it is! This is normally the type of thing we'd buy just to see what he'd look like with that on, but we were in a "we have too much stuff already" mood. And thought the picture would be good enough.

Went over to the Disney Outlet Store one weekend, to check for stray merch from The Galaxy's Edge. None to be found, but we were interested to see that Rey did indeed have a "new" outfit with the sleeves and slightly darker colors. Like, did anybody in those new movies change outfits at all?

Saw these Disney "Babies" and don't remember seeing them outside the theme parks before. So that was something cool to see at the outlet store.

The Three Caballeros! What an awsomely funny spin-off for Donald Duck to be in a singing group, with that voice of his. So much fun that they keep making merch for it.

Seeing these pigeons in the store, I was unaware that the movie Spies in Disguise was a Disney movie. You might not remember, but that was the one with Will Smith voicing the super spy that got turned into a pigeon. Does knowing it's a Disney movie make me want to see it more?

It might be a while before you can buy this patch and consider it the "best day ever" because y'know... whatever you did today, it would have been better if you didn't have to wear that face mask.

Not sure if this is funny or sad. I think that's the point? My friend says it's more sad than funny.

DOCTOR MARVIN! DOCTOR LEO MARVIN! Back in the 80's we all laughed at Bob Wiley opening doors using tissues, but now...

Did anybody see the brutal first 15 minutes of the movie Up? Why would they make an ornament to remind us of the overwhelming sadness?

Came out of the mall to see this thing parked next to us. Got the funny picture and then quickly and quietly drove away as fast as we could. Nope. No, thank you.

I took this picture before the election. In New Jersey, EVERYBODY got a mail-in vote ballot. They did not send one to "Minty" I guess I forgot to register. Haha just kidding... ponies can't vote! This thing did not include an "I voted" sticker. Slackers!

Always fun to point out when we see non-exclusive exclusives. Surely they can't get away with saying "Amazon Exclusive" if it's being sold at a Five Below. Busted!

Another cross-oddity seen at a Five Below. Here's a John Cena POP! Figure wearing a New York Yankees jersey, and it's got the Official MLB sticker on it. So... if you are a fan of John Cena... AND the NY Yankees, then you're in luck!

If any stickers deserve to be placed all around the office, it's these Aggrestuko ones. It's cool that the premise can be surmised from these stickers; This cute little red panda works in an office and gets mad at office stuff we can all relate to. Check out Retsuko about to throw the copy machine! Hahaha!

Another Mega Construx collection of figures from Call of Duty: Black Ops. Once again, Nomad is here without his signature attack dog, Juno. Like, do these people even PLAY the game?

Saw this DVD cover for Red Shoes and the Seven Dwarves, looks like it's like a mash-up of various fairy tale books. We were just a little thrown-off by the odd suggestive way she's holding that shoe, like she's drunk or something. Also, are those dwarven Shrecks?

Why is one of our patio rocks shattered? I'm standing here next to the pieces. You can see one of our squirrel buddies in the background... awww! It's like a two-fer picture, shattered rock and cute squirrel.

Driving past our local movie theatre and was happy to see posters once again outside, since they had been empty all summer. Had to stop and get this picture we were shocked to see. How fun that the movie that might get us back into an actual theatre is a 40-year-old Empire Strikes Back.
