BS Antiques part 2

There were so many cool things to see in the Barrett Street Antique Center, that we have another batch for you.

This is an intense amount of commentary just in the title of this album: Never Apologize and Never Explain, A Sign of Weakness by John Wayne. What an awesome summation of Cowboy Philosophy. The only thing that makes this applicable is the overwhelming integrity of John Wayne's reputation. He's just never going to do anything he needs to apologize for in the first place, no explanation needed. Your own results may vary.

BS Antiques part 1

On a lazy vacation day, I visited this giant antique store. I've been here before, and it has a ton of museum-quality things inside.

I suppose I should show the entrance. The name is a little un-inspiring but at least it's useful. Where is Barret Street Antique Center? Um... yeah.

What's Going On?!

Another batch of random pictures I took while in Virginia on our Xmas "vacation".

While out doing some last-minute Xmas shopping in Pembroke Mall, we stumble across... a Halloween store? Huh? The cashier got a good laugh when my friend said "Whew! I thought Xmas was tomorrow! But it looks like I have plenty of time to shop since it's still Halloween-time! What a nightmare!"

More Trip Stuff

More pictures we took from our trip to Virginia during our Xmas vacation. This is more like normal whatever pictures we usually get, but this time they are from Virginia, if that makes any difference.

I don't remember specifically the Seinfeld episode, but I do remember this scene with the Tweety Pez was super funny. I'll have to hunt for it and watch it again to see if I'm remembering it correctly.

Xmas Trip Stuff

Pictures from our Xmas trip to Virginia! We were down there for Thanksgiving relatively recently, but still, it's exciting to get a week off and visit the family and stuff.

While driving down to Virginia and back up to New Jersey the last few times, we spotted this new travel landmark. An internet search called this thing the Cateraptasaurus, and it's outside of Carter Cat in Delaware. This time we made a special note to stop and get a picture of it.

Busch Gardens Xmas 21 part 4

One last bunch of pictures from Busch Gardens Christmastown. Pictures don't really capture "lights" as well as they could. So you really have a reason to go yourself, if you can.

This ice-skating show is only done once each day, so it's the big one that we wanted to make sure we got in to see. We got there plenty early and got decent seats in the middle, and a much-needed being-off-of-our-hooves for a while.

Busch Gardens Xmas 21 part 3

More pictures from our Busch Gardens Christmastown visit! I know Xmas was a while ago, this is the photo-blog equivalent of leaving the lights around your house well after the holiday is over.

This place used to be known as The Curse of DarKastle and was a ride with werewolves and other creepy stuff. Sadly, they closed it down several years ago. Today... it's Santa's Workshop! There used to be giant wolf statues at this entrance, you can see the little banner is still up with wolves on it over there.
