Biking From A While Ago

How do I always seem to wind up with pictures of bike riding to post in the fall? It's too chilly to ride the bike anymore, but we got some pictures when it was nice out, so let's try to bring back some summer.

Green water? That cone on the land bridge is marking a hole in it. I guess the whole thing is a couple shovel's worth of dirt away from going away? That would be neat to try but who would want to be that mean?

Pictures of not-yet-fall click on the "Read more" below.

The Raritan Canal river was very calm that day, like a mirror. Those trees looked like they were floating in space over there.

Went off the canal trail into the town of Kingston just to explore. Found this antique um, gas station? What an odd thing to have.

Glanced over and spotted this old windmill thing. Gotta love these small towns.

I guess this is where everypony got water up until 2001. In case you didn't figure it out, Kingston is near Princeton. We have no idea where Queenston is.

No more sidewalk this way. Time to turn around. I wonder if you could get around the whole country using only sidewalks? Or would you eventually reach a point like this where they all end.

Some guy named Hopkins left his hat on this pole. You know he's thinking "Where did I put my hat?"

Two Old-Timers fishing in a boat on a lazy Sunday. Nice.

Sunlight! The days are getting shorter but there was still plenty of day left.

This deer stood there for a long time thinking "can they see me? I think they can, but I'm not moving anyway."

The rest of the deer's family was in the field. They were also not moving an inch. Not any of them. It was a fun staring contest for a while but we let them win and rode away.

More deer in what we are now calling "Deer Alley." These ones ran away but stopped when I stopped to get pictures. Closer to the office buildings they might be expecting treats.

Screeched on the brakes as we passed this wayward Turtle. It was probably not going to be able to climb that ledge and it was a looooong way in either direction before the curb ended. Of course we were going to break the Prime Directive and help.

It hissed a little bit, but we picked it up and put it a lot farther back from the curb. Okay buddy, if you fall off again it's on you.

Teal banners around the trees to promote awareness of ovarian cancer? Ever since the Breast Cancer Awareness people did the whole "pink" thing now theres got to be colors for stuff. I wonder if minty-green is something's color?
