New Hope! We've visited before but it's been a while since we went, so we... went. And took a bunch of pictures to share.
If you don't remember, we park the car in Lambertville, New Jersey, and then walk across the bridge into New Hope, Pennsylvania. And if you're a tourist, you stop for the photo op on this line on the bridge.
Relaxing day pictures click on the "Read more" below.
In Lambertville, we passed this marker for the D&R Canal trail. We would have to ride our bike for like, all day, to get here from home, but we could if we wanted.
Another one of these get a picture and read it later plaques, that we never even read later.
It was super crowded today, we got a little clearing in front of us for this picture, but it was really packed.
Nice picture of the Delaware River. Further south is where the famous historic Washington Crossing the Delaware thing happened. We passed that park on the way here. Maybe another day we'll visit that.
This is one of those see-through bridges. So if you look down, you can see the river. Hold on to meeeeee!
North you can see there are more bridges to cross the river, but this is the tourist walking one with all the cool shops waiting for us in New Hope.
Right away you can see this is a very artistic place. Say hi to the tree face.
Here's the big intersection in the road. To the left is where most of the shops are. Later we discovered a toy store and comic shop to the right.
Okay it's a cheap joke but I'll go ahead and say that cannon has got some balls being here.
That's some lens flare in this picture of this tiny house near the river! It was bright outside, so a lot of these pictures we couldn't see on the phone screen while we were taking them.
The Halloween decorations were still up. I mean, technically this guy is not really "up"...
Posted blueprints of construction site. The building to the right of the arrow was where the "steampunk" art stuff was, but it was replaced with some kind of rainbow colored photo studio? We forgot to get a picture in there we were so shocked and sad to see the steampunk stuff gone.
Here's one of the rivers going through here. Looks like those apartments over there might fall in someday? They are kind of close.
Where is the troll living under this bridge? How does the fairy tale go? Pay him the toll? He gets to ask you three questions?
Do you feel sorry for clowns, that Halloween has sort of turned them into bad guys? Or do those creepy clowns deserve it?
I'm certain I've taken this exact picture before, but this odd house is fun to see. And sure, I'll get another picture to remind everypony.
Aww yeah, this is the type of stuff you come here to see. Awesome goth clothing.
We got a picture of this awesome cleaver and then were told no pictures please. So we weren't sure if we'd post this or not. I guess we did.
Dang my friend says. "Not sure if we want this or not, could you model it for me please?" he daydreamed asking somebody.
Minions scarecrows? Wouldn't it be funny to have the Wizard of Oz re-done with Minions? ...If I only had a banana.
More Halloween leftovers hanging out up there. Maybe there's always been creepy clowns there? Nah, probably just for Halloween.
With the chilly weather, it was fun seeing this beachy surf display. For a small moment we remembered the warmth of the summer.
Put some Peanuts characters on a glass with a random witticism, and it sounds pretty legit. Is the glass saying "Girls are hard to understand" relevant in today's culture? Or is that now inappropriate somehow?
Haha we laughed at this sign because we have family with dogs who always rush to the door, especially if the bell is rang. So yeah if you didn't laugh at this, you either don't have a dog or don't know anypony that has a dog.
