Cute Stuff at the 2020 Toy Fair

Pictures from the 2020 New York Toy Fair! This is a bunch of cute pictures.

Grumpy Bear looks like he stole Grumpy Smurf's act. It's actually a very unusual character to include in a group of happy bears. Looks like he's not too thrilled to have his picture taken.

Looks like they are about to re-boot the Care Bears. These designs look great. If they really wanted to connect to today's youth, they should have had emoji characters on the tummy instead of the classic images.

Extra sprinkles on my ice cream and whoa.....! What did my camera just do? Was I just blasted by cute-ness?

Does anybody ever say "when pigs fly" these days? If they do, you can toss one of these at them!

That Panda kid is learning to use the potty. Is that gross or cute? Whichever one you think, have a fun picture for it.

Having been to the Calico Critters booth for several years now, I can't believe I just now noticed how much these remind me of the movie Dinner For Schmucks. Maybe it's this one classy scene here, and how it looks like you should be taking it a lot more seriously than you probably are. .... And I release you!

Why are you envious of that creatures... nose? You shouldn't feel like you are trying to compete with the size of it. It's what you do with your nose that counts.

Disney Princess bumper cars! The plaque says waiting for license approval, usually those plaques also say "no photography", too. But this one didn't, so snappity-snap the picture!

Random Mickey Mouse and Minnie Mouse art figures. They look like garden-plant statues but they are solid colors. Is one of them green, at least?

These cute things are called Slimes. From Slime Rancher. How can a slime be so cuddly?

More cute slimes. Drink some slime out of your slime mug, too.

I remember seeing these boxes at Hot Topic and wondered what the figures inside looked like. Wasn't curious enough to actually purchase one at the time, so it was unexpectedly cool to see these here at the Toy Fair.

Keep in mind this is a business event, and sometimes you need to be explained why something is cute. This says there is over 1200 Nendoroids?! That sounds like it can't possibly be true. That's a lot!

From the anime My Hero Academia, it's the Rainy Season Hero: Froppy! She's like Spiderman except not with spiders, she has the powers of a frog. Besides the jumping and long sticky tongue, one of her powers is that she can swallow things and spit them back up, unharmed. Ribbit!

The newest Nendoroid Disney Princess is Jasmine. This puts her in a whole new world.

Grey prototype Nendoroid for the video game character Bayonetta. Looks like her legs are longer than your typical Nendoroid. We have not played any of the Bayonetta games yet, but the character design is cool. Also, check out the Demon Slayer Nendoroids in the background.

Thanos gets a Nendoroid, too? I guess that's about as "cute" as you can get him. Oh, snap!

A cat-cactus which says "can't touch hiss". That's all kinds of awesome cleverness. And the fact that it's actually cuddly? I wanna find whoever thought of this and give them a high-five.

The Netflix series Disenchantment was not as good as we were hoping, mostly just... okay. That's the medieval fantasy show from the creators of Simpsons and Futurama. It's still good to see merchandise for it, like Luci the outcast demon devil creature.

Boingy boingy boingy! I wonder if the Animaniacs bounce around? They're crazy to the max.

Club-scene Hello Kitty? The grown-ups know what those pacifiers are for at the clubs, right? A little shocking to see Hello Kitty with one.

It's so hard for everybody to make the time to get together these days. This display is from the Calico Critters current 2020 line-up. They were celebrating their 35th anniversary.

It's amazing how similar the original sets are to the modern sets. That just shows why Calico Critters is still around since 1985. The quality has always been an important part. And honestly, everyone loves the idea of cute animal families.
