New York Toy Fair 2020 - Funko

More pictures from the 2020 New York Toy Fair. This is the group of pictures taken from the Funko booth. Funko is so popular because they really have the ability to make anything that is... popular. And their cute style makes everything feel like it belongs together.

Right at the front desk is The Child! Better know as Baby Yoda. Have a catalog, everybody! They took the digital route for the catalog, which is honestly a magnificent idea. They always had the biggest, thickest, heaviest catalogs. And we usually picked up a couple extras for friends. This is the retailer's catalog, so you can't order through it. just get a peek at what's coming up. Now you can feel like you went to the Toy Fair in a small way.

Giant POP! Pikachu! They newest Pokemon games, Sword and Shield,  have a gimmick where your pokemon grow to Godzilla-sized in the arenas. So is this a gigamax'd Pikachu? If you put a regular-sized POP! Figure next to it, that's about what the game is like.

Mando had to learn how to ride a blurrg in order to sneak into the place with all the bad guys, adding to the Wild West vibes from the show. This is some kind of space donkey.

These packages say 40th anniversary for Empire Strikes back. Who else wants to hang that carbonite-frozen Han Solo on their wall? But I guess if you do that, it would technically count as a Return of the Jedi thing.

Tennis Legends. That ball was IN! Which one of these players came up with the quote "HUH-AH!" when everybody hits the ball these days?

I feel like a lot of these figures are already available. Here's some players from the USA Woman's Soccer Team. It's hard to know what's new in this booth since Funko is usually so quick to get these things on the store shelves.

My Hero Acedamia figures. Imagine if Superman was teaching a class on how to be a super hero. That's pretty much this show. There's All Might in his teacher outfit. You better believe he's going to save you, and have a smile on his face.

Video game characters from Contra and Shantae. Notice how the POP! style makes them look like they belong together, despite being very different character designs in their games. Would it be cool to have a POP! video game which included all these characters somehow?

You might not recognize this as Wonder Woman. Outfits from the new WW84 movie coming out this summer. That's not the 84th Wonder Woman movie, it takes place in 1984.

Speaking of the 80's, have some Batman figures. That's the Arnold version of Mr Freeze back there telling you to.... "Chill out!"

It's a little bit sad that they could not use the actual word on his crown here, like they did in the episode. Not quite as sad as this moment from the show. It was a nicely written bit that was very funny, but also very sad at the same time.

By the power of Greyskull.... I HAVE THE POP! FIGURE!! Check out Prince Adam back there rocking that pink shirt. Also nice to see The Sorceress figure.

The figures were glued down, so we couldn't move them to get better pictures. We laughed at the Scoops Ahoy Robin figure with her You Rule/You Suck whiteboard. Spoiler alert; you suck.

Crikey! This guy is legendary! Who thought to put him next to the Dinosaurs TV show figures? Was that an accident? They better be donating some of this to the Australia Zoo. They probably are.

Are you hungry like a wolf? Dancing on the sand with a girl named Rio? Trying to find your way back to the ordinary world? Looking for a view to a kill? How many of these Duran Duran songs can you hear in your head?

The name of the song is not "Backstreet's Back" it's called "Everybody". Just in case you had that song in your head and wanted to look it up. Alright!

It's been a long long time since I've seen these, I wonder how well they hold up today? The fandom has held up well enough to get figures, so they are probably fine.

ARE YOU NOT ENTERTAINED?!!! We checked on Google and I don't think there is a version of Commodus with a thumbs-up. What's the other guy's name? My name... is "Gladiator".

There was a soda fridge in the booth? They are thirsty for your dollars. What an interesting display idea.

There's a new style of figures in these soda cans. So if you are running out of shelf space, now you can hide these in your refrigerator! They'll look like normal sodas but really it's your whole new collection instead.

We were trying to see if any of these Wetmore Forest plushies were new, maybe these two? They were all grouped together so We couldn't tell if there were any new ones. This is an original thing for them, not licensed from anybody.

From the Disney movie Mulan. She will bring honor to us all. That line from the commercial is pretty cool.

These are definitely new; from the Disney Pixar movie Soul. Brace yourself, this looks like it's going to be wild with the swinging of the "Your going to cry NOW! Mallet" smashing you in the face for the whole movie. Pixar loves that Cry Mallet.

Does Venom basically defeat everybody? Check him out merged with even The Hulk! I mean, there's also Wolverine... and Loki. Would Wolverine heal himself of this sort of infection? Maybe Loki would try it out for fun.

Overwatch has some great character designs. Everytime we see a group of them we think, we really should give that game a try. I've probably used that caption for an Overwatch picture before, too.

Checking out these POP! Figures seems a little like being a paparazzi. OH OH! It's Guy Fieri! Say "BAM!" snapity snap some pictures! OH! Miss Monroe! Snap Snap! Do the pose!

Annnnd we're done. Found him! There's Waldo. If you have one of those "wall of POP! Figures" in your house, hide a Waldo in it somewhere and watch the laughter when someone is checking out you collection and then spots him. Also in this picture, who is a "salt" fan? Really? Morton Salt Girl gets a figure?

I wonder how many of these American History figures they sell to schools and stuff. You think the high school government class needs a Reagan POP! Figure? You know, to promote capitalism in it's purest form.

The power of Funko; if it's popular, it gets a POP! Figure. RBG in the house!

"Mean Gene" Okerlund passed away last year and it's nice to see this and be reminded of how cool he was. He was the guy interviewing all the WWF wrestlers and calling the matches. As great as the wrestlers were at hyping up the crowd, Mean Gene was always right there with each and every one of them. Pro wrestling might not be what it is today without his subtle awesomeness.

Funko is doing a board game series based off of the many properties they can make characters for. Here's Cheetah from a Wonder Woman set. We've not seen any pictures from the WW84 movie featuring a full-Cheetah character, is this a spoiler?

The boardgames are supposedly separate but can mix together. Dr. Ian Malcolm from Jurassic Park has a bunch of funny skills; one says "must go faster" haha. Is that for when Cheetah is chasing him?

What a brilliant move to make a game involving all the characters they can. Now they can interact with each other as well as they visually fit together. Should say... Wonder Woman... be afraid of Aggrestuko's RAGE? Note that the Funkoverse figures are smaller than regular POP! Figures.
