Disney World '23 Hollywood Studios

Here's a quick bunch of pictures after our day at Epcot, we park-hop'd over to Hollywood Studios. Mostly because we paid for the park hopping, so we figured we might as well use it. Even though We'd only have... maybe a whole hour? Time enough to grab a couple of pictures, but also not enough time to stop and get to many.

Notice the wet ground. It was drizzling as we took the Skyliner over here. That's a whole 'nother story I got pictures for later. Right now let's run through here while we can!

Of course... the Star Tours! It's at Hollywood Studios but not part of the Galaxy's Edge "In-Universe" Star Wars Land. Even though it's still considered to be in-universe itself, if that makes any sense. Since we had already done the Galaxy's Edge as part of our Galactic Starcruiser experience, we stayed away from it to keep those memories separate.

Now that we got the confusing visit-math out of the way... it's cool to get a little bit more Star Wars into the trip, even if we've already had a full-blown real adventure a few days ago. I know I've dragged out these pictures for a long time, but if you missed our Galactic Starcruiser pictures, make sure to check the previous posts!

Check out R2-D2 up there piloting the Starspeeder 1000. If one droid is going to make you feel "safe" in Star Wars, That's the one! Do you feel more safe, or less safe, that the ship requires blaster cannons on it? If you're curious, the place we "toured" were Crait and Jakku.

My geeky friend busts the display showing "wanted posters" for various criminals. Among the random characters, it shows Bala-Tik from Episode 8, and also Aurra Sing, who was confirmed to have been killed in the Han Solo movie, which is before Episode 4. No way those two characters would be displayed at the same time. Unless... this re-confirms that Aurra Sing survived? It also says she is "human" but clearly she has white skin and extra-long fingers; implying she's slightly alien. So much nerd-ing going on with my friend right now. From a random background display. That's like, half of what Star Wars is!

They had a special-color BD Unit Droid! My friend picked up the BD-1 earlier in the trip. Cool to see that they offer that same droid in different colors if you'd prefer to have your own unique pal instead of the one directly from the video game.

Cookies are always the correct choice. It's silly to even have to ask.

I'm a huge The Muppets fan, but the show had already closed for the day. Boo! Eh, I've seen this show already a bunch, so no big deal. It would have been nice to have seen it again.

The park closes at 9, but Muppets are off by 8. Just letting people know in case you need to know.

Had to snap a picture of Sweetums. Mostly because I find it very funny that this monster's name is "Sweetums" which is typical Muppet-level humor.

The Launch Bay was also closed. That's where they have a ton of Star Wars models and props. Like a museum of sorts. And they also do a lot of character photos in there. So you can get cool official backgrounds and all. But... not tonight.

This whole area was spookily deserted. Nobody around at all. The one attendant shoo-ing people away mentioned The Little Mermaid show has not yet re-opened, since Covid shut it down many years ago.

I have not yet seen the Pixar movie Soul, but I got a picture of the guy. Someday when I watch it, I might look back at this picture with a little more excitement? Right now it's just some guy, but later I'll be like "Oh, it's the guy from Soul!"

They do a movie appreciation montage show by projecting pictures onto the buildings with fireworks all around it. It was neat seeing them using footage from a lot of movies that are not typically among the most-promoted properties. Like Wreck-It Ralph.

I want you to reach into the bag, and take out my lightsaber.
Which one is it?
It's the one that says B.. M..... F.....!
Legend has it that they engraved "BMF" onto Mace Windu's Lightsaber to match the Samuel L. Jackson scene from Pulp Fiction. I wonder if the replica had that. too?

Sorry, but I noticed right away that the top of Rey's staff looked like a lightsaber. When I first saw it. And she had it right at the start of the new movies. It was less obvious that they waited until the end of all the new movies to reveal that she made her own saber out of it. I expected it to have been a lightsaber all along but now we'll never know if it was or not.

Well, there's a spoiler-ific shirt! I mean, the movie has been out for a long time now, and it's like, one of the most famous movie lines ever, but still... spoilers much?!

Loki gets the best lines. I know he's a villain, but he was so great delivering speeches with such Glorious Purpose it's hard not to like him.

Everybody recognizes the gold idol from the intro scene from Raiders of The Lost Ark, but I thought it was cool they had the Indiana Jones Voodoo Doll from The Temple of Doom. Complete with the kid's feather-tipped hair pin he was stabbing it with. That was a good scene, too
