Atlantic City In December

My friend wanted a trip to Atlantic City for her birthday, so I got some pictures to share!

In December, the boardwalk is quite a bit less crowded. I think the term is "Ghost Town?"
The Casinos were plenty busy, click on the "Read more" to check out some more pictures!

Jets!

These type of Jets don't really fly you anywhere, it's an NFL game! Monday Night Football! I went with my friends and got some pictures!

Went to see the New York Jets, they were playing the Miami Dolphins. Here's a cute picture I took in the gift shop to show I'm a Lil' Jets fan!

Random Fall 2014 #2?

More random pictures grabbed while out shopping in Manhattan.
The Toys R Us in Times Square always has these GIANT ads in the windows, it's always fun to walk by and see what's big enough to put up there. Here's the new Disney Infinity game, did they know there's a Disney Store a few doors down to the left of this picture?

Pics From The Past?

BONUS? I found this collection of pictures from last year and I guess I neglected to put it on the blog? So anyway, have a bonus post?

Often we try to make text messages to our friend more interesting by including me in the pictures. Here's a collection of pictures we um, took as text messages to let somepony know something.

This one shows a finished embroidery design we planned on putting on a couple of dog shirts and jacket for a friend. Why? Our furry friend's name is He-Man! He is a Master of the Universe! And by "Universe" we mean "couch."

Random Stuff Fall 2014 #1

Just putting up some pics we took while out-n-about. No particular theme or order just pictures we took that might have some kind of entertaiment value.

If you are frustrated by Xmas shopping you probably want to stay away from "Arget" because... argh. It's great that malfunctioning sign letters can be so much fun.

Click on the "read more" hope you will be entertained a bit.

Golden Pony Corral

Hi Little Ponies! Who doesn't like going to a buffet restaurant? All the food you can eat?! Yeah, living like ancient royalty! One night my friends "dragged" me to a Golden Coral and I thought it would be fun to take pictures of all the stuff I ate?
Here's the entrance. Don't click on the "Read more" if you are hungry right now.

More Lego Pics?

Okay so I guess I post a lot about Lego?, This time, we visited the newest Lego store in Manhattan, which they are calling their "Flagship" store. So this is the Starship Enterprise of Lego Stores? Anyway, we took some pictures of course!

The store is bigger than their Rockefeller Center store, but still not as big as you are probably imagining. Here's a Statue of Liberty torch with giant minifigs waving down. This is just the arm and not a whole Statue of Liberty!

Brickfair NJ 2014

We're big fans of Lego so when they were having a convention nearby, of course we went to get some pictures! It's kind of like an art show? I'm posting tons of pictures because there was so much stuff to look at. All in one post this time I hope it's no too much.

Haha awesome t-shirt. It's funny that they chose a classic 80's spaceship as his choice but I don't really think he'd build a spaceship?

Click on the "Read more" there are a lot more pictures here!

Happy Halloween!

Happy Halloween everypony! Here's a quick one-pic-post, we were at the Jekyll & Hyde Club in Manhattan, and this casket behind the bar had a robot, er... zombie, in it who would peek out and tell a funny story every once-in-a-while. Lots of other animatronic creepy things in that restaurant/haunted house place.
So go get dressed up and score some candy already!

Miku Expo!

They were doing a promotional tour for our favorite computer program/pop star Hatsune Miku which came through Manhattan recently. Including stuff at the NY Comic Con and a couple of concerts, they had an Expo-shop which we just HAD to check out.
Here's the corner outside. The line was around the block! Turns out the line was only to buy the limited-edition art posters. The figures and T-Shirts we came to get were already sold out (sad pony.)

We still took lots of pictures click on the "Read more" to check em out!

Central Perk?

Have you heard about a TV show called Friends? Of course you have! To celebrate the 20th year of the premiere, they opened up a re-creation of the coffee shop from the show, Central Perk. Only open for a short time, my um,... friends... wanted to go and brought me with them for some obvious photo-ops!.
Here it is! We went on the last day, but better late than never! Or so we thought. Click on the "Read more" for less-exciting-than-you-expect pictures...

Early House Haunting

We went on a trip to the New York Renaissance Fair but in October it's the Forest of Fear! All dressed up for Halloween time, it's actually across the street from the forest usually used for the medieval stuff. Took a bunch of pictures don't be scared!

Here's the entrance. A lot of these pictures are in the dark so excuse the blurriness of some of them, maybe we need to invest in a new camera if we survive the night?

Dare you click on the "Read more?" Nothing too scary I think...

Minty on Broadway for a Flea Market

Broadway Flea Market! I need me some fleas! We ventured into Manhattan to check it out. We weren't planning on taking any pictures since we've been to this thing before, but sure enough there was some interesting stuff to share!

Here's the Map where you can find your favorite show's table of goodies. If you look close, you'll see where John's Pizza is. So now you know where to find it! If you get a chance to visit, their calzones are awesome.

Murder for Dinner?

We went to a fun dinner which was a pretend wedding reception, where the actors put on a show about a murder. We had to figure out who we thought commited the crime. It was a lot of fun and I grabbed a few pictures so I thought I'd share them.

The show was in a hotel banquet hall, much like a real wedding would use. Sometimes simple titles are the best titles.

The "stage" behind me looked like it could have been an actual wedding reception. We did not have to bring gifts.

Can we call this a Playbill? The meal tickets had funny names.

The actors also served the meals, in-character. After the show they lined up to say goodbye to their "wedding guests."

Truck Monster!

Sunday Sunday SUNDAY! That's the announcer-yelled lead-in to any Monster Truck Rally commercial. On the road going down to the Outer Banks there is a tourist destination we stopped to check out. Digger's Dungeon; the "home" of the most famous monster truck Grave Digger.

Anypony who's been to a Monster Truck show will smile when they see this legend. Click on the "Read more" to see what else they got going on around here?

Down and Out

It was a coincidence that we took a bunch of pictures recently that had a kind of "Apocalypse" theme, so we thought we'd post them together. Um, this is going to sound wrong but.. hope you enjoy them?

Is this a parking garage sign or a funny photo-op? Looks like Minty is down and out on her luck today.

Back to AC so soon?

A few weekends later and we went back to Atlantic City! There was too much to do in one day and we couldn't wait to get back! So of course We took more pictures!
Here's a view from the walkway between Harrahs and Golden Nugget. Those hotels are away from the main boardwalk but they are just as much fun. So says my new seagul friend here.

What do you get when you mix Las Vegas and a Beach? Atlantic City! On the New Jersey shore you can play some casino games and surf at the same time! Well not the exact same time. Anyway... we went and took pictures to share!
We went on a day that had a triathalon going on so the traffic getting there was a lot worse than normal. But once we were there it was a normal summer crowd. Here's a picture of some sand sculpture event that was going on, too.

Smithsonian Zoo part 1

While traveling up the East Coast we were driving through Washington, D.C. We didn't have too much time to stop and see a lot of stuff, but got a few hours to go to the Zoo! It says Smithsonian but it's a different kind of museum full of cool animals!

Parking cost $22 but entrance to the zoo is free! They do charge $3 for the park map if you want to carry it with you... or you could print out this picture? Then in a way, Minty can go with YOU to the zoo?!

John's Pizza

In Manhattan, across the street from the theatre for Phantom of The Opera, is a restaurant that I HAD to post about it. The place is John's Pizza and the food was so good we didn't want to stop to take pictures but I got some anyway to share!

Apparently this was an old church so the inside looks very "churchy" complete with stained glass windows. This is the ceiling.

The wall had pictures drawn all over it, can you see Obi-Wan and Darth Vader fighting over the last slice?

Magic is the only way this calzone could have tasted so good. It was filled with magical cheese.

Silverball Museum!

You probably know that I like museums, based on all of the trips I've taken and posted about. Our recent trip to a museum was extra fun because it was full of Pinball Machines! Hundreds of them, and once you pay to get in, you can play as much as you want for free! Okay technically not "free" since you paid to get in, but... you know what I mean?

This "museum" is right on the beach at Asbury Park in New Jersey. So it's all sorts of fun before or after pinballin'

GAGA

We're here at the Wells Fargo Center in Philadelphia. Home of the Flyers Hockey team, the 76ers Basketball team, and tonight, Mother Monster herself, Lady Gaga! And we've got tickets to go inside to see the show!

I would have gotten more pictures of the crowd, but the costumes they were wearing were a little too extreme to post... Gaga inspires people to express themselves by not wearing much?

May the 4th be with you!

They released this picture of the new Star Wars Episode 7 movie cast a few days ago, but I was waiting until the "Star Wars Holiday" Day (May 4th) to post my exciting news! It seems the media has missed someone in this picture... Who is that standing between Director J.J. Abrams and Harrison Ford, below R2-D2? It's me, Minty!

Thanks to some special-effects of my own, a pony can dream, can't she? Now who do I see about getting my own light saber?

Happy May the 4th be with you, and go do something "Star Wars" today?

Cronut!

It's neither a Donut nor a Croissant, it's the crazy tasty combination that is called The Cronut. Only available at an exclusive bakery in Manhattan, they are a rare and tasty treat. And we got some!

If you are reading this, you are probably on the internet? So you can look up the origins and what-not of this treat and why it's so enticing. We had to order ours online weeks in advance, and here's the package!

My friends got two of them, one for each of them, but they let me take a few bites so I could blog about it? The frosting on top kinda stuck to the package during transit.

MUNCHED! It's hard to describe that it's exactly what you'd expect the combo of donut and croissant would taste like? If I need to mention how awesome it tasted, um, yeah it was pretty awesome.

Random Winter Pics

I've been posting a lot of series lately and in those many weeks we took a few "random" pictures. So I thought I'd take a moment to share some stuff.
We were at a Barnes and Noble bookstore, in the Starbucks area. This guy was carefully placing cups and stirring sticks in some kind of pattern on the table. Was he creating art? Solving the secrets of the universe? or maybe... both?!

Waiting for Minty

Theatre night! It was a belated Christmas present, to be taken to see one of the two shows currently being shown at the Cort Theatre. The big exciting reason was to see live performances by the two main stars, of course! It was a Sunday so the play we went to see was Waiting for Godot.

Here's the Playbill, recognize the two guys on the left? Magneto and Professor X you say? Click on the "Read more" to see some more pictures we took!
